If there's mould on the soil I'd back off for a while. It may not need anywhere near as much water as you think. Some of the leaves are yellowing a little, so it doesn't look fighting fit.
Maybe you should repot it, get rid of the mould, give it some room to breath and water less often?
Thanks
I'll do just that tomorrow. Drainage won't be an issue If I just use one larger pot right?

You can use a plastic pot in a ceramic one, but you shouldn't have a pool of water in the bottom. Just give it a little every now and then. I recently left a succulent in the bathroom for a few weeks and it got too much water and started dropping leaves everywhere. I had to prune it right back to a third of its previous size. Wolly.

I've done camelot (an ex and I had a three bedroom flat to ourselves for a year; in an ex-council block in Streatham, so it wasn't exactly interesting or nice, but it was an obscene amount of space for £25pw), and a few other forum people do at the moment; there are various discussions about it on the forum but I can't remember where they are. I'd recommend it if you don't have a ton of stuff/pets and you're OK with being kicked out at short notice.
If you don't mind me asking, how long did it take you to get allocated a place? My brother's waiting for a place to come up, having applied about a month ago.

It PAINS me to ask this question. But can anyone suggest the cheapest place to buy inner tubes, cables (apart from ebay) etc? I really can't cope with trawling chainreaction etc to see who has the best price, is there somewhere everyone goes to stock up?
I realise it's probably only a matter of pence difference..Also, most reliable cheap inner tube (no self healing or anything)?
Ta. And sorry.

Valve core removal tool- I had two of the little black plastic ones, one is now lost.
The other is on my key ring, to stop it also going on holiday, which made me think that there might be a "proper" tool that would go in a jersey pocket, but also harder to lose.
Anyone seen such a thing?

What sort of valves? Schraeder? Should be able to get them from car places for bugger all.

The little plastic chap to the left of the valves:

Not seen one of those. Why do you need to remove the valve cores of prestas?
-
• #23514
Tufo extenders work like that. Remove core, screw in extension, screw core into the end of the extender.
-
• #23515
To use some sealants (apart from Pit Stop, it would appear) you need to take the core out, squirt, spin, valve core back in, pump- and hope that it has sealed the p_nctr.
This is why I have one on my keyring, but would like something a little harder to lose (if not attached to a bunch of keys).

Ah right. I thought it might've been some weird tubeless setup. Sorry, only ever used schraeder type.

I think that was sold off forum, does that count?
Did it sell? Didn't realise

Velocio may just have fixed that or been working on it when you tried?
Changed: Images now fit the screen width on modern browsers.
Try viewing Bike Porn, and dragging the edge of the browser window (to resize it horizontally), images should be rescaled to fit the viewable area... and if the screen is big enough will be shown at original size.
I've left in the swapping out of excessively large images with links, because you shouldn't use excessively large images, you should link to them and provide thumbnails instead.

Recommend to them to see bluerip00 in the first instance?
Just in case the problem is mainly with medical personnel who have been taught that people should stop cycling as a 'solution'.

The headset bearings on my road bike are dead/dying. Its a standard 1 1/8th integrated headset in a Pinarello FP2.
I've taken the steerer stack apart to get access to the cartridge bearings. I can confirm that both upper and lower are gritty and there is some evidence of rust leakage from the lower cartridge. They both need replacing.
The problem is that both sets of cartridges are stuck fast in the head tube. I have tried applying some penetrating fluid and tapping increasingly less gently around each bearing from the other side of the head tube with a dowel and hammer with no sign of any movement. I have also attempted to carefully lever from the same side of the head tube with a screwdriver I am at the point that I do not want to start whacking or levering away any harder for fear of damaging my head tube.
Does anybody have any suggestions on how I can remove them or shall I take the whole kit and caboodle to my friendly LBS? I'd much prefer to tackle the problem myself simply because I like learning how to do things but if there is a risk of me damaging my frame then I will clearly be happy to hand over to an expert...

poke a big allen key sideways under the lip and hammer down to lever it out.
Or if you want to be gentle try spraying GT85 around it, that stuff works miracles. -
• #23524
Allen key worked better than a large screwdriver...have managed to get top cartridge out. Lower cartridge still stuck fast so will let some more pen fluid sink in before trying again later.
Cheers mate.

Ok....so I have removed both cartridges now. The bottom one feels loose and extremely gritty. The top one feels a tiny bit gritty but seems to be in relatively good shape. It feels like it still has grease inside it.
They are Enduro 6806 LLB
The cheapest price I can find is £48 not including P&P! Here
I cannot afford this.
The specs for these bearings can be found here http://www.endurobearings.com/bicycle/enduro_bearings.html (30 x 42 x 7)
Can anybody suggest something a little bit more wallet friendly? I think one of the cartridges is ok to be reused but I feel it would be good practice to replace both while I've got the headset apart...
Haha, and sounds like boredom's bending the rules slightly then.
£1200, can anyone do better?
