Just reweighed at 7.4kg with heavy hubs on which I'm pretty happy with for a 60cm frame. Just want to lighten up the wheels a bit and then I'm done. No particular target in mind.

I'm only going 50% weight weenie and only for this build because, well, the frame deserves it.

The ultralight 50mm rims are (from memory) 350ish in clincher, and they'd be aero(ish) as well.

I've got enough deep profile wheels, carbon and alloy...need something that'll be ok in a cross wind hence me aiming for 20 or 21mm rims.

Patching lycra shorts- do you need to patch them with lycra, or will any old bit of fabric do?

Stitching lycra is really difficult. Just use them with the hole in, possibly as your bibs to be worn under winter tights.

Just colour in any bare skin showing through the hole with a whiteboard marker. No-one will ever know.
