At my local shop, £1 wouldn't cover a tube of polos and a pack of small rizla.
What is the world coming to?

if you throw polo mints at a wall it is possible to achieve a perfect horizontal cone residue over 1cm long
if that's any consolation

What's wrong with eating them? Polos are not physics.

Blood pressure- 135 over 68, am I going to die?
At my folks, my dad has a blood pressure testing device, I was expecting a much lower result.
Some Googling suggests that I may be obese and do zero exercise
More Googling reveals I probably drink far too much on a regular basis

Sitting with Mrs Bobbo and some friends (both doctors) I'm on the forum while they watch Strictly Come Prancing. Anyway, back to the point they say that the most likely reason for you getting this blood pressure reading is that the cuff is not the right size for your arm.

What's that gear ratio thread called with the long lists of ratios? I UTFS but no luck.

This one? http://www.lfgss.com/thread994.html
Or the polo one is the master of all lists

Thanks, i must have been thinking of the polo one. Just wanted to see if there's a concensus on the best ratio for fixed riding in the city. Seems about 47:16 is popular

The moderators thread is closed to new posts so let me ask this here.
Can we please modify the classified rules to cover Wanted posts as well? Currently the rules only apply to stuff for sal whereas some of the Wanted threads are subject to repetitive bumping and generally impatient dickheadedness that would otherwise not be tolerated for anything with a For Sale/Offered prefix.
I suggest that we call this the apolloxl rule.
(General tip: Don't make us name a forum rule after you because of your actions.)

47:16 gives you 77.2. I would say that's a little high for every day riding. 70 inches seems to be the point around which people work.
Some people go a bit higher for more speed and some go lower if you ride slower/brakeless. Then there's 6pt who rides around on 86 or something stupid. -

Really? How did you know?
I've decided to ignore my high blood pressure and pretend it does not exist.

I prefer 70ish GI for city riding and 80+ for flat rural riding.
However, I always ride 48/19 (66ish) when I'm commuting etc but concentrating on road training at weekends. Its perfect. Almost no strain on legs when pulling away from lights...seems to minimise any tiredness should I end up doing a lot of junk miles during the week.

65-75 fixed depending on what I'm doing at the time.
My £10 P-X track pump is finally on its way out after 6 years. What should I replace it with?

I've recently finished a full carbon fixed build. I've got a fair few fixed wheelsets but one thing I do not have is a proper lightweight hill climbing wheelset. I plan to use this bike for the occasional hilly fixed ride in the Spring Summer.
I built some open pros onto Condor Unos a few days back. Whils they're lovely wheels I want something lighter but also want them to be practical i.e clincher and preferably not carbon.
I considered rebuilding the open pros with some lighter hubs but sadly I can't see many lightweight track hubs that are 32h.
Should I just scrap the open pros and get myself a nice pair of 24h American Classics and some new rims or am I missing an obvious 32h hub choice?
Funny, I'd have said you need to drink more.
