Valve extenders.
I've got a couple of old style Vittoria tubs without removeable valve core. I plan to use these on a 80mm carbon rim therefore I need an extender or two.
Will the extenders marketed for use on removeable core tubs work on my tubs? Or should I go for another type?

Well at the moment I've got a 32 alex r450 with cheap shimano hubs which has easily held weight up to 20kg including myself 13st (there or there abouts) when I've been cycling around Europe.
I'd like to get in to more audax and club rides, if I do tour probably cycling to hostels in Europe so I won't have to carry as much, perhaps a 32 would be enough for that purpose though.

Mavic do removable ones. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=55304
Screw em in, pump up and screw em out.

Awesome. Thanks for that mate. No harm in giving them a go. Just ordered one.

Also to add to you confusion Ambrosio Excellight rims get recommended. Plus with the overall rise in cost of Open Pro's they come into the running.

Well my plan is to run the new wheels with my current bike for a while, but then hopefully buy myself a new frame next year, at which point I'll move over all my 105 and new wheels over to the new frame.

is there anywhere worse than croydon?
apart from sheffield/rotherham, obviously
Sorry to resurrect this but Steelend in Dunfermline beats anywhere mentioned so far. Tiny shit hole named after what used to be the local steel mine (imaginative huh) that was closed by Maggie Thatcher's penis (i think) leaving the locals too poor to be able to travel to other larger towns for work, unwilling to relocate and with nothing else to do but sit around all day drinking Buckfast and fighting.

Weirdo.

Does anyone here dive (as in scuba)? I was thinking of giving it a go and just wondered what was involved.
I looked at a few places and it looks straight forward but is it?

I'm leaving work in farringdon in 30 minutes, how do I avoid the unwashed studenty protesters/kettling/blockades and get to E&C without going rageface and killing someone with my detachable mudguard?

In almost exactly the situation, only I'm heading to holborn. Being at the hospital we've got rozzers everywhere but the helicopter that's been practically sitting on my head is starting to get distracting.
I'm planning on waving my d-lock angrily. Hopefully it will have calmed down by the time I head back to the deep south later.

how much weight are you planning on carrying?
would not think it should be much more than possibly some additional clothes and food - but i know fuck all about audax
may be best to have a look on yacf - they seem to be a forum really aimed at audax and extended self hatred on bikes
