I've seen people cycling, and pushing a second bike alongside - if I try it will it all end badly?
I've always wanted to try removing the front wheel of the spare bike and attaching the forks to the seat stays of the bike you're riding, then tow it like a trailer

this probably would end badly
-
• #16379
and it would look like you were riding humping bikes, wouldn't it?
-
• #16380
^^ It would most likely end badly as forks are only spaced to 100mm. So you don't really have anything to attach them to

Maybe use a rear rack? Seatpost-mounted ones go on/off quick, but I'm sure you could cable-tie and gaffer it up somehow where the stays taper in near the seat tube

Gaffa tape. Job done. I reckon it could work actually
-

I'm going to make a mock up in paint.exe to prove it works

you lot are overthinking this... the solution is obvious and simple.

^How does that help?
If you're rocking tri bars you even get a comfy back rest

Can anyone recommend a book that gives a good overview of political philosophies (if that's the right word) but isn't too hard going? Something that outlines differences between anarchism, communism, conservatism etc. but then goes into some detial on say marxist-leninism and trotskyism for example. i.e. all the big ones and their off shoots.
Any ideas?
I'd start with some history of philosophy. Something like Copleston.

How do you finish a cable to go on a chainstay cable stop which is smaller than the cable outer?
i.e. when the chainstay cable stop is too small to encapsulate the cable end and hold it in place? Do I need a particular barrel adjuster?
Google is throwing up lots of stuff, but I'm still unsure.

There is a specific cable end that you need, I have some in my tool-box if you cannot locate any.

Oh, the other thing is - with history, philosophy, politics, economics, ethics and sociology of culture definitions will differ depending on philosophical stance or/and political views of the author.
When I started my uni (anthropology and sociology of culture, theory of drama and film studies) it was all about structuralism (deeply rooted in marxism). In my last year decostructivism arrived with new professors and I lost my ground.

best way is to have one foot clipped into each, and hold the stems. If you need to slow down, just angle the front wheels together like skis

My second hand ones came with a brown pad.
Well...part brown.White when you bought, brown now ... hmmm

I've done this before. It's a lot easier if you lift the front up and wheelie the 2nd bike, as then you don't have to steer 2 bikes.
Lynx did something clever removing the wheel and zip-tying the fork to his rear rack to make an insta-tandem (tm). It seemed to work.
^^It's most definitely not a pop-up book.
