I find 5'10" to 6' rather interesting, nice to have a girl at pretty much eye level. Any closer to my 6'2" I get a little freaked though.

I did read an article that posited that couples average out at a common height- cannot remember what it is, but I think maybe 5'8"?

i.e. we are subconsciously attracted to a partner that when combined with our own height hits that average.

So, take me (6'2") and the Mrs (5'6"), add us together and get 11'8", divide by two and you get 5'9", which is close.

Say me 6"1 and guy i last dated 6"5 = 12"6 divide that and you get 6"3 not so average.

I've been out with a couple of girls above 6 feet. They were both shorter than me though. Not sure how I'd feel going out with a girl who is taller than me but then again I'm 6'4 so that would be pretty unusual.

Me, 5'7.5"; my wife, 5'8.5"; avg 5'8".

Maybe the 5'8" thing was old data, Europeans are getting taller pretty fast.
