Can you put a shimano group set on a 1970/80s frame?
-
• #16129
no, it will dissolve.

Depends entirely on which frame and which groupset.
-
• #16131
Its true, I did it once, RIP frame

no, it will dissolve.
. . . and then explode.

Only if it's a bicycle frame.

Yes, as long as it's a 1970s/80s groupset. Bicycle manufacturers did it all the time back then.

Oh its a mordern tigra group set.

Oh its a mordern tigra group set.
The main problem is that the frame is going to be 120mm or 126mm OLN, and Tiagra is 9-speed so needs a 130mm OLN hub. If it's a 126mm steel frame, you can probably just wing it. You'll need down tube cable stops, either clamp on or to fit the gear lever bosses, and you might find the brakes don't fit either because they're not deep enough or you frame/fork isn't counter-bored for Allen key fitting brakes.
That just leaves the question of what this
is doing here

Does anyone have any BottomBracket spacers for a Shimano Hollowtech 2 BB? I assume the spacers would also be the same for other BB's too but I don't know.
My brother lost the spacers in the process of giving me the bits and I'd hate to have to buy something that others are throwing out in perfectly good condition as they come with a new BB.

I had to buy a set (missing for some reason from my brand new BB). Maybe I'll have a couple left. Not sure what width, though. I needed 2.5mm.
-

I have none atm, so if anyone has just replaced a BB I'll take the old spacers.
It's usually 2 on one side and one on the other I think, been a while since I've installed one.

When pumping my tyres earlier I managed to get a blood blister on the end of my thumb when taking the end of the pump off (no idea how that happened).
It hurts a bit and looks really gross, shall I pierce the skin and let all the blood out? It seems wrong to leave it in there to curdle and harden for weeks. Wikipedia tells me I shouldn't in case of infection but that sounds like sissy talk to me.
-
• #16141
unless it's massive leave it, it'll clot/scab under the skin and stop hurting, and eventually fall off when its layer of skin reaches the surface.

It depends on cranks, no?

I have some Time ATAC cleats that dont have the normal L/G and R/D marking on them
one of them have two little starts on it, the other nothing.
I have look around, and the only referenced about it, is on this threadcould anyone that know confirm that the little starts are the left foot???
Time are ambidextrous - you put them one way (the slant of what should be the bottom of the cleats) for easy unclip and the other way for harder. The slant is toward the middle of your foot for harder. (I just looked at mine)
