How do I tell if this lot are legit?
http://www.lcso.co.uk/index.php
They seem very interested in the previous tenant, but would like my details also, which I don't think I want to give them.

Read the small print at the bottom of the page and check with Companies House/Data Protection Registrar/Consumer Credit Register that the numbers all match up and they are in good standing. Then tell them to fuck off anyway and deal through your utility company if necessary.

Just been reading through the MoneySupermarket type threads on them and come to the conclusion that they can have none of my personal info, have given them the name of the lettings agents that used to administer the flat before we bought it.

Do skips have to be licensed or registered in some way? Say on... the 20th of August for example, if I wanted a list of as many skips as possible that were in streets across various boroughs of London. Is there somewhere I could visit/someone I could talk to that would tell me where they're going to be on that weekend?

Can anyone recommend a decent JIS bottom bracket (japanese taper)?? Needs to be 107mm, and hard-wearing (for my daily ride).

Three UN54s or one Stronglight SBBA? I'd probably get the Stronglight, because I'm a tart.

For a heavy duty frame with wider tyres - Velocity Chukker or Halo Aerowarrior?
Any other option of a cheaper non-mashined wheelset which could take tyres between 38-48mm?

If you're going that big, go for really big rims. You can drop a tyre size and get the same flotation, so the weight of big rims is less of a penalty. I've got 700x35 tyres on 38mm wide Kris Holm rims, and they are a million times better than 700x37 tyres on a 23mm wide rim. The Kris Holm 29er rims have machined sidewalls, so if you're really obsessed with that there's a 42mm wide Nimbus http://www.unicycle.uk.com/unicycle-spares-1/rims/rim29nimbusdominator2.html and it's also £4 each cheaper than the Kris Holm http://www.unicycle.uk.com/unicycle-spares-1/rims/29-kris-holm-xc-rim.html

700c I'm assuming?

Yep. I can as well go for 29ers.

Thought about the Halo Freedom Disc?

can some one delete my profile?
-
• #14721
No. I can as well look into 29ers. I was looking at track/trick rims and wheels and there's not much choice.
-
• #14722
Because of the new popularity of the 29er rims there should be plenty to find. Are you looking for strength or just the width?
-
• #14723
Both, but not to extreme. The fork will not take in anything fatter than 48mm anyway (at least without any modifications). Strength wise, I'm not going to prance around in car parks nor go downhill on rocks, just want to be able to trash the bike around the town and beyond with my 93kg safely.

Might be worth asking some of the polo guy's on where to look. And also why they rejected other rims and settled on the Velocity/Rigida/Halo's
The Rigida's are surprisingly chap for how good they are
