Pain, mixed with a dull ache, backs of my knees- muscluature too puny and/or insufficient stretching of the hamstrings?
This is post the L2B last weekend, where I may have overdone it chasing the clock toward the end.

• #13755
You should have stopped at every pub like I did, my hams are fine.
-
• #13756
I did, and still did it in three hours, hence the ache

• #13757
OK well, erm, you smell.

a friend of mine works for ASOS and asked me if I know any stylish bike bloggers, this is the list he's got so far,
Bike Hugger Velorution Veloculture Going Going Bike London Cycle Chic I Bike London Copenhagen Cycle Chic London Cycle Chic (Copenhagen Owned)
and has asked if I had any contact to Copenhage Cycle Chic as apparently there are no contact details on the blog. Anyone know him? (ironically I'm from Copenhagen...)
Anyone know any other bike bloggers not mentioned above?

Endoscopy (gastroscopy) - should I go fully aware with local anesthetic or sedated?*
*)I think I can put up with flexible sigmoidoscopy without anaesthesia.
-
• #13760
Sedated. I had one, don't remember a thing about it (apart from the course of industrial strength laxatives I had to take the day before).
-
• #13761
They were going to scope my lungs with an endescope type device to look for a rogue tooth, and the surgeon came down very heavily on the side of the sedative- said it would be uncomfortable, but I'd be so "off my tits" (quoting Mr Bentley there) that I'd not care.
General=risk, so avoid if you can.

I will need to find someone to pick me up then.

When and where?

They used morphine for me, I was off my tits for 12 hours or so. Bliss.

Are you planning to get the forum out of your system?

Don't worry.
It's today - not sure what time, though. My appointment in Whipps Cross is at 2PM and it can take up to 4-5 hrs.
Hopefully my wife will take time of work for an hour. If not, I will have a new experience to write about in the unsuitable thread on the forum. -

How do you know? They will look up my colon for it.

Just joining the dots.

I had one done local when I had a pill stuck in my throat, it's pretty cool, you get to watch the tv screen. Local!

My mum had one without anything and said it was one of the most unpleasant experiences of her life. go local.
-
• #13771
I've had it done so many times now it's a joke. It is an unpleasant experience but if you're sedated you have to stay in hospital for a few hours and then be monitored which is boring and a complete waste of time. If you just have the local anesthetic you can walk straight out afterwards and feel fine.

I dropped my bike off at Evans this morning where I had scheduled today to have the fork swapped out. Their mechanic just called and told me he's not going to be able to get to it today. I had a bit of trouble understanding him but I think he gave his reason as it's too noisy and busy to cut a carbon steerer.
Anybody know where can I get my forks changed relatively quickly? I don't have a crown race tool and I'm sure I'd fuck it up.
-
• #13774
Yeah. I took my fork to decathlon by surrey quays. They have the tool and took my crown race off for free!
-
• #13775
They have a mechanic at Decathlon? Do I just need to go to their bike section?
Don't bother they're shit.
