Also, is there a chain for fixed use which is 'naturally' black, i.e. not painted?

hi my sprocket is so worn that it is missing teeth.
- Am I likely to die in the next week until my new bits arrive
- Am I likely to be unable to remove the sprocket if all the teeth fall out
- Am I likely to die in the next week until my new bits arrive

its yes, isn't it.

Can't answer no.1 but as for getting the sprocket off it will still be possible. If there are a few remaining teeth you can use those, or if you have access to a vice/stillsons(unsure on spelling) then you can use those t get it off.

Fuck it... Im going to ride it till it fails. The teeth look like toothpicks.

I think these are too much, you can new wheelsets from ribble or planet x for about the same (including postage).
Actually these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Shimano-Deore-silver-Hubs-built-onto-Mach-2-240-rims-/310323136544?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item4840b34820#ht_836wt_896 look better I think?!
These will be 135mm spacing and i think your giant is 130mm, so they would't fit. You could probably cold set the frame a little wider but i'm not sure.

What hostels or cheap hotels would people recommend to stay in when visiting Amsterdam? the Flying pig looks nice.
Very late reply, I know, but I would definitely NOT recommend the Flying Pig. I stayed there once before I moved here when I was just travelling through Europe and staying at hostels. It was the single worst experience of a hostel anywhere. It actually convinced me to cut my stay in Amsterdam short.
Admittedly this was five years ago and it might have changed but that was my experience there.

anyone know of TWO fatal riders down today, both on oxford street? because that's what the pig who pulled me over for shimmying down 8 foot of one way street just told me. unless of course he was making shit up to try and justify his pedantry. oh and he doesn't like it when cyclists get hit because there's a lot of paperwork, apparantly.

I have several v brake levers, no idea if they'll work with your brake set up but you can have one for beers if you want.
-

Hello Moog, i don't have v-brakes and i'm not sure what the brake(caliper) im user is like, what is the differnce in the lever? ><
-
• #13748
V brakes are long pull, road calipers are short pull, I don't know for sure but I imagine a v brake lever with a road caliper would be pretty on or off and hard to modulate (could be totally wrong here).
I'm sure someone will be able to enlighten you on the issue, if the combo works PM me, if no good luck finding a lever.
-
• #13749
will do! Thank you for the offer :)

I run a road brake with V levers and it works ok, I run it with not that much lever travel and you can modulate it to some extent, not like callipers with a calliper lever but ok none the less.
ooh, Schick burn.
