silly question: got a stem for roy and it doesnt fit well i can get it in some way with alot of pushing but feel like im just being silly and im going to break him. should they be really easy to fit or is it the wrong size? also its the onky size ican find as stem matches the age of teh frame

I've got a week off from long rides for Glastonbury.

I'm riding 140mi on 6th July, 135mi on 7th July and 75 hilly miles on 8th July.

I want to get one more slow century in the legs before these rides. My last long ride would have been 100ish to Avebury and then to Swindon on the 20th June.

Would it be idiotic to do a gentle 115mi on 2nd July giving me three full days rest before setting off on the long ones?
