I don't know about go-to but I bought some stuff from
https://www.solentplastics.co.uk/
A few weeks ago and they seemed fine. -
• #118878
where is the go-to supplier
If I couldn't be arsed to search, I'd buy again from https://www.plasticboxshop.co.uk/

Solent plastics are who I've used in the past too, though now stick to milk crates (half and full with metal liners) from Backstage (filmcarts.co.uk). No lids but very solid with metal reinforced rims.

My lack of knowledge of Greek philosophy has always been my Trojan heel.

My Trojan heel ended up spreading up my legs and giving me Diogenes.

There's a quick-release clamp available for that impairment.

I was a (pedaling) gribgrab advert last winter but I was warm and dry and so will be deploying again this year.

Are these any good, or should I just get the tyre pliers type? Took me ages to get my gp5000 on so I’m dreading getting a puncture.

Kool stop tyre jack is what I'll go for. Or VAR does a mini version.

What happened to Michael Linnell?
Fucking love my Linnell satchels, but they're wearing out after 10+ years of daily use.Struggling to get through both by email and phone. Please don't tell me they've gone out of business....

I remember reading an article somewhere about some almost-cult with rich white Americans having loads of babies to try and repopulate the US or something but I'm struggling to find it now. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Just out of curiosity, what is the recommendation from on here on chainline acceptable « tolerance » for ss?
I currently have a ss with 47.5mm chainline front and back (theoretical at least), and my other wheelset is designed for 43.5mm chainline. Might use one or the other wheelset, still undecided, and unsure if it is worth changing bb if I change wheelset.my feeling is that being within +/- 5mm of the front chainline would be ok for ss use but wondering what are the recommendations/habits of people here
-
• #118893
I prefer within 2mm, I like things to be quiet down there.
Safer and adds longevity to the components. -

Depends on the chain. With bushed 1/8" chain, I try to dial it in to ±1mm. If you're using 8-speed or higher bushingless dérailleur chain, 5mm is one gear shift off perfect alignment

I would like to use a 11-32 but think 11-28 is the limit, what do I need to change in order for this to work, new rear deraileur or an extender?
-
• #118896
The limit for which component? Chain might be the physical limiter in the system since it can’t stretch; sometimes a derailleur ‘meant’ for 28t can readily take a 32t.
-
• #118897
The derailleur, it's a short cage.
-
• #118898
Depending on the derailleur you can sometimes buy a second hand long cage version that is otherwise broken and swap the cage over

Thanks, it's a RD-1056.

Pretty sure I ran 11-32 on one of those on a 1x MTB about 25 years ago.
Went for the gripgrabs in the end as the thought of trying to find more shoes that fit my wide feet seemed too much of a Ballache (an expensive Ballache at that).
