Good spot, and I agree. Thanks!

The spots on the floor here - what kind of light are they (ideally make and model but just type would be a good start - I can see they have a moving head, but what else)? Would they have had a hazer or similar to get the beams to show up or is it just a case of dark room + angle of beam relative to lens? Client sharing this as a reference for an event while I sigh audibly.

At my previous job we sold a few things from an individual account before we realised business accounts existedo. eBay would try to entice the personal account back once or twice a month with £1 deals, which eventually became £2 deals. Definitely the algos at play.

I need something to enable me to move the bottle cage on my downtube forward so I can fully fit a bottle into it securely. At the moment it’s hitting the seattube cage.
Any ideas or hacks?I ended up with these but have only used one of the adapters. Worked great - does anyone want the spare for £3 to cover P&P etc instead of paying £10 for set?

Yep, I've not had one for ages.

A guy drove in to the back of my car. Going through insurance and when the insurance company contacted him, he's apparently denied all knowledge!
I took a photo of his car at the scene, which i've sent. We also exchanged a few texts and emails as he initially wanted to settle outside insurance - I've sent screen grabs. It feels like a weird move on his part! Is there anything else i should be doing at this stage, seeing as he's actually denying it? Police? Or do i just leave it up to the insurance companies to sort out?
-
• #109634
Leave it up to them, they'll sort it out. Police won't care
-
• #109635
Leave it, if the insurance want the feds involved they will contact them.

Cool, that was my plan, I just didn’t want to be missing something! I feel like I have enough proof (if not 100% concrete) that he’s going to struggle to get away with his plan. Hopefully!

Not legal advice: if your insurance’s understanding of the events is what happened, then reiterate to your insurance that you stand by your claim. Ask them about a police report. IMO you’d be best protected by assuming the other guy is acting in bad faith.
Other not legal advice but rather reasonable suggestions: save everything you have relating to the event, even if you’ve already shared it with your insurance or the police as files can get corrupted or lost. If you were with someone, have them email a witness statement to you and your insurance now while it’s fresh in their memory. Id cease all contact with the guy, referring him to the insurance company.
Sorry you’re being messed about, especially since you were just being kind to a stranger.
((Or do as DethBeard suggests, probably best.))

I’ll be interested to see what the next communication is with the insurance company, after sending the photo and screenshots. Annoyingly, I don’t have a witness (don’t think my 6yo or 3yo, who were in the car, count). We probably went through some lights just before, where he was properly tailgating me, so maybe there is camera footage.
The content of the emails was essentially
‘I’m happy with you paying rather than go through insurance’
‘Yes that’s fine. Send me a quote when you have one’
‘Turns out you cracked several panels that need to be replaced, it’s a jdm import so that’s going to be prohibitively expensive’
Then radio silence from him.
He’s tried to phone me a few times but I’ve not picked up.Definitely the last time I even entertain the idea of not going through insurance.

Not going through insurance is only a good idea when it is: a) a shitter that isn't worth fixing, so free beer money or b) broke something insignificant (a light that is a fixed cost to replace, e.g.).
Actual shunting can cause so much structural damage it isn't worth the risk. -

How do you know when SPD pedal cleats are worn and need replacing?
I use the multi-release cleats and have very low pedal tension.

How do you know when SPD pedal cleats are worn and need replacing?
When they clip less. (Badum tss!)
No but seriously if your 2 bolt cleats have worn edges, chips, or aren’t clipping in or releasing smoothly when you want them to, it’s probably time to change them. Wiggles own brand will set you back a tenner, not being able to unclip or suddenly unclipping under force will set you back much more.

I've noticed I have 100 free listings BUT nothing about the 10% sales fee. Can I assume they'll drop it occasionally? Or just upload the items cause they just won't?
-
• #109645
I’d assume they will drop occasionally. Mine appeared after I created drafts for items I had yet to take picture of. Maybe create a draft listing and leave it?

Any users of youtube music know if there's a way to prevent what you've been listening to from cluttering up your regular youtube feed?

Are ray ban lenses tinted the whole way through or is it a coating? I want to polish out some scratches from shoving them in my pocket.

This is what I want to put a go pro-type bracket on the bottom of a garmin out front mount (the type supplied with the 830) right?
