  • You can bypass that message and try to continue to HSBC online banking in most browsers... that's what I do? Works fine with Safari?

  • HSBCnet does not accept any other browser at all. I have checked this.

Anyone knows about partionating with Boot camp?

  • @jono is it net your online banking? I know HSBC does other kind which works fine, is the net ones...

  • Ah ok, no, not HSBCnet.

  • How about running windows xp in a copy of Sun Virtual box as a virtual machine?.
Then I think you could just have the VM file on a portable usb disk somewhere and as long as the usb id mounted you should just be able to point virtual box to the file and load up the VM?

Virtual box can be downloaded free http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
you'll have to have a licensed copy of XP though.

    saves fucking around with bootcamp

  • Anyone knows about partionating with Boot camp?

I've done it, and it works.... but then the dodgy copy of windows I was using expired and now I have a useless partition.

  • I'd go the virtual machine route. VMWare works well on Macs (but costs about 50 quid). I've not tried any of the free alternatives.

  • VMware player is free these days as well, I've used both and find Sun Virtual Box a bit more lightweight..although must admit havent tried any of the new VMWare versions on Mac.

  • Thanks clefty, sounds quite coherent... reading about it now.

    thanks

  • Get a better bank

  • get a better computer

  • true, bank is crap but no my choice or my one.

Would I also need a licensed copy of Windows using Boot Camp?

  • yep

  • uhm...
    Ta.

  • InDy shortcut question.

Does anyone know what the mac shortcut is to place a picture in a frame but with 'fit contents to frame'?

  • aren't the shortcuts written out in the drop down menus?

  • aren't the shortcuts written out in the drop down menus?

    Only the basic ones.
This has cmd D for place, but there's a short cut to place so it fits to frame.
The short cut for fit to frame is opt cmd E but when you're doing a catalogue, that's twice as many shortcuts as necessary.

  • Command + Shift + D?

    Just a thought

  • or Alt

  • I've tried that.
From memory, it isn't D, or E, it's random, and stupid and annoying.

  • got a really annoying problemo.
whenever i click a link, it goes to the page, then re-directs me somewhere totally different
even if i c&p the link from say safari to firefox, or flock.

  • Where does it re-direct you?
