this online service allows you to load and edit translation/resource files online and save them under different formats.
http://help.transifex.com/features/formats.html#windows-resource-files-resx
note I just googled it, there's no recommendation from me for it. i've never used it.

Who wants a 21.5" LED 2012 Q1 iMac box!
£20 posted£20.00 for an empty box?
Serious?
"shakes head and wanders off mumbling to himself"

You'd easy make the money back if you were selling one, and then some.

Dont they go for hundreds on eBay?
Thousands infact, more than if you just went into curry's and bought one with one of them metal things inside them.
Serious, they do actually go for actual money on ebay, I've technically sold it twice on there, but both times waste of space kids who 'thought it was an iMac for £20', ebay is still too far in favour of buyer IMO.
Anyway, yeah its here, and someone somewhere, will want it, if just for making a castle out of. -

Anyone know how to capture a bit of video from an online source?
Spotted myself in Yorkshire TV's Le Tour coverage... -
• #3358
you might be able to do it with jing, install it, set the capture area to be the video player part of the screen and hit record

Hmm... apart from notifications, which I could probably do without, it just seems exactly the same.

Maybe that's why apple aren't charging that much for it 'cos there aren't too many. Feels a bit snappier to me compared to Lion, and that's installing it over the top, might do a clean install when i get a chance.
-
• #3369
^ They don't charge for it cause they don't need to profit on it. It's also worth loads for them to have everyone on the latest os as it'll allow to cut support earlier

Currently chewing my way through this to help decide whether to upgrade from Snow Leopard or not.
http://arstechnica.com/apple/2012/07/os-x-10-8/
Had to use Lion for about 5 minutes yesterday and absolutely hated it :|

• #3371
If you didn't like Lion, you won't like snow lion much.
Dictation works well, but I've no use for it.

Having read that review, it looks like they've addressed a lot of the issues I had, mostly around versioning etc.
Gonna wait till after a couple of updates to avoid the inevitable 10.N.0 bugs, but will most likely go for it. Been thinking of doing an optibay type thing with an SSD, so this seems as good an excuse as any to do a heap of upgrading!

Installed ML last night, all went well, nothing broke.
Not sure how I feel about spotlight losing its position to notifications in the menu bar, not that I ever clicked on it to use it, just hit command space. -

Question - I am looking for a .resx file editor for Macs.
One of my company offices need to translate one of our sites. Sadly they are all halfway across the world, low on tech skills, all running Macs, and with no IT support. That means that the standard approach of 1)direct editing XML or 2)running Bootcamp are really not really viable options.
Anyone know of any viable alternatives? Ta muchly.
