it was working fine, then lost service a couple of hours ago and has not come back
I've heard that the O2 network is down, a few people are moaning about it.Although my iPhone is fine???
-
• #3328
so could be a network issue
but i have seen reports of iphones struggling with the same issue since a recent software upgrade, which is it?
-
• #3329
Im on the most recent update and i'm on a 4 on O2. Seems to be working fine for me, as I said there are people that I know saying there iPhones aint working, and haven't been since late last night!??

looks like it is the network issue, i tried calling my phone from a landline and got a "there is a fault" message
tried calling a colleagues mobile from my landline and can't even connect, so assuming they are also on 02

fuck fuck fuck
i need my phone for work, so how do i get it working? off to o2 store
-
• #3332
You probably have already found this info, but for anyone else with problems on O2 today.
-
• #3333

Put off now by the fact you can't upgrade it. £3500 is mad.
I wouldn't want to buy anything that I can't upgrade to at least 16gb ram in a year or so. Running 8 now and it struggles at times
-
• #3335
I got the base model and upgraded the ram from the off.
I'm assuming apple could upgrade you later down the line, but I guess it wouldn't be cheap. Can''t say I'd be too fussed with 8 mind, never upgraded my last mbp (i think that was running 4).
-
• #3336
all depends on what you do, as soon as you get in to photo editing, you need all the ram in the world
time for an ssd upgrade soon as well I think

pfff... got an appointment in the morning with the genius bar. The retina display has a horrible ghosting going on. Apparently it's a fairly common problem.
Really hope the next one doesn't turn up with something horrible.

Help! I'm a wally.
I had to reinstall iTunes this week as it wasn't detecting my iPhone after it came back from repair.
Then I noticed a problem with photo uploads to iPhoto.
Failing to find a solution I deleted iPhoto, assuming (wrongly) that I could download it for free from the interwebz.
I emptied my Trash so can't fish it out of there. F**ksticks.
Does anyone know what I can do? I'm reluctant to pay £11 to install something I already had...

Does anyone else have one?
Or, can anybody recommend a model which is water resistant / proof?
I have been looking in to a cover for the existing keyboard on my MacBook but they all just look a bit rubbish.

Ha! Yes, I've seen those. I am skeptical though.
Usually what you gain in gimmickry you lose in performance and aesthetics.
Or am I missing the point?
-
• #3343
Not that I should be worrying about the look of the thing with my track record of late.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhh
Kernal Root (0) is running like a nutter and according to activity monitor is using 169.7% of my CPU capacity.
Can I jsut turn it off or reinstall OSX from my original disc or will something like mac keeper sort it out?
Its been running like a dream since I got it 2 years ago and all of a sudden it has slowed to snails pace where even LFGSS wont load....
:(
Any hints would be appreciated.

Rumors about a smaller, and cheaper, iPad is coming thick and fast
I can't really justify £400+ for one at the mo, so if they come up with something for 250-300 I'd get itchy fingers

the ipad2 is £300 for the base model and is perfectly fine for all current apps, i got one in june for my birthday

Yeah I've been pondering that, but don't like the idea of buying 1year old tech.
Getting the iPhone 4S was a great choice, everything runs loads smoothing thanks to better hardware. Had to use a friends 4 the other day and the whole UI feels sluggish

Who wants a 21.5" LED 2012 Q1 iMac box!
It no longer has an iMac inside it, but it does have the packing foam, keyboard box etc. And has the Apple brown shipping box that it fits inside. £20 posted
