A bit small time, but has anybody got an old powerbook mini DVI > VGA adaptor they want to sell on? Like this, cheers...

I will have one available in a couple of weeks.
Need to buy my new MacBook first, but once I have my mini DVI to VGA will be redundant.
Do you need it straight away???

I am a recent convert to mac's and so far I am finding them great, with a few exceptions.
I regularly post to wordpress and I am really struggling to get my mac book pro to behave in a sensible manner. The problem is this, on a PC I copy data from an excel file into a word doc and then add a bit of text and a photo gallery. Then I paste the whole document into wordpress, usually I don't have to bother with the 'paste from word' function and hey presto it looks great all the lines on the tables are spaced neatly and it a makes me happy in a OCD sort of way.
When I do the same on my mac for some reason I cant fathom the same data gets compressed into the centre of the screen with huge margins either side and some of the neat formatting carried in from the excel tables gets messed up. This all leads to the data being difficult to read. I also notice that the galleries thunbnails are only two images wide when posted from the mac as opposed to three images wide when posted from a PC.
I heard that there are formatting issues surrounding .docx files but it doesn't make any difference what sort of word file I save it as,.doc or .docx I still get the same problems & I can't find any relevent settings in wordpress either.
Is anyone else having or had silimar problems? Does anyone know how to remedy this problem.

You tried using MarsEdit instead to post to Wordpress? Easier to prepare posts offline. Are you posting into plaintext or html editing mode?

Try and post it into the html bit - sounds like it's adding some weird formatting.

I am posting straight into the visual section, I will stick it in the HTML section and see if that helps before I try MarsEdit. I am a little reluctant to pay for something that works perfectly well on a cheap netbook but not on a macbook!
Thanks for your help.

Posting straight into the HTML section is event worse! All the formatting goes and the tables become totally unreadable.
I think I'll take the easy option and post using a PC for now.

just deleted trash and really shouldn't have. I know. Its trash. that's why its in there. But anyway anyone got a key to register for Stellar Phoenix?
Or any other tips on how to recover files without spending ££thanxxxx

Ziska, get ahold of data rescue, cost a bit butb allows you to recover files that have been accidentally deleted, you'll have to stop using the hd of course, and need another computer with a large enough hard drive for any data that may be recovered..
