No I think it's right. "Enough space for you, table and chairs". So long as they are not referring to Hippy, of course.

As you step inside and make your way down the long hallway you have your choice of rooms to choose from. If you’re.......
It's missing "... needing a jobby, then you can step into the toilet for some well deserved poo time".

Been reading this thread for a while since I'm selling my flat and looking at buying a house.
Just had my offer on a house accepted so expect future posts from me whining and crying about the painful process of getting it all done. But after all that boring legal/paperwork stuff I'll have a house with a garage.
That means I can have more than one bike for the first time ever! -

Valuation went OK, still waiting for mortgage approval. Pull your fucking finger out!
-
• #5806
Ha! If you valuation of my place?
Yep that went just fine and have accepted an offer that was above asking price already.
Don't have the mortgage approved just yet but should be next week hopefully.
Atm sorting out the legal representation and that side of it.Got our offer(below asking price) accepted on the place we are looking to buy which is nice.
And make no mistake, it's my wife that handles most of this buying/selling since she is smart and organized.
I pay half the bills/mortgage and lift heavy things and that's about it. -

Is that some of up and along part of the one?

Moved in at my new gaff last weekend. Shared ownership deal. Mortgage was a complete faff and the whole process dragged on 2 months longer than expected.
Anyway, I must be on one of their prospective owners emailing lists still cos I received an email about two of the flats in my block back on the market for whatever reason and the valuations have gone up over £20k on what we paid already.
-
• #5809
shared winning
is it govt. part owned or a housing corporation ?
-
• #5810
Housing corporation. It's a shared ownership block with some local authority rented places in the next block.
I think these valuations are also set quite low to get people in the flats as I receive email alerts from a shared ownership resales website too and the prices are much higher.

I'm currently experiencing the opposite feeling.
Our development has a lovely old building outside the front which, when the site was underdevelopment, was approved to be a restaurant.
It appears that since they've sold all the units, they're currently trying to change the planning permission to allow a fucking tesco.
No only would it be sitting directly at the front of our development, i would actually go underneath some peoples flats!!
If it gets approved it will wreck several local businesses and definitely destroy the increase in price my flat has seen in the last 12 months.
Fucksocks.

How is re-mortgaging working at the moment with the price increases? I guess my place has gone up a reasonable amount so not got much idea of what LTV would be when looking for new deals.
-
• #5813
I found applying for a mortgage quite tricky (or at least trickier than I'd recently heard it was). Mine was 70% LTV and they queried absolutely every large transaction that had taken place in my accounts, including transactions between my accounts and ISA amalgamations. It literally took months of scanning documents and taking documents into Nationwide for them to witness and scan themselves.

I'm cashing out of london now because I think the bubble will burst. might not be anytime soon or even in the next year or so but burst I reckon it will do.
i'm in victoria park and mines going on the market shortly. the agent advises to put it on for mid 400s which is what we will do.
if he is right we should walk away with 280k in equity to put into the next place (out in the sticks but still in commuter-ville).
thats pretty mental when you think about it after only living there for 3 years. its sort of like winning the lottery. but instead of feeling elated I feel pretty depressed about the situation, which is weird.

Apparently my proof of funds was not up to date enough so have requested new bank statements which should arrive tomorrow, been paid since the last ones were submitted so they will show even more GNs so that can only be a good thing. IFA reckons that's all that stands between us and a mortgage offer from the lender.

Planning is allowed to be a democratic process. Find something credible to object to and lodge it. Is there any increase in the massing of the proposed building?

I've written to my MP, local Councillor and the planning officer in charge of the case. There doesn't appear to be an increase in massing but the bin store etc are going to be located in the boundaries of our development.

Just got the survey back on current Bristol purchase.
Apparently the attic space is fully set up for the cultivation of marijuana, including insulation and venting.
Bonus! (although now slightly worried about dodgy electrics) -

Does it affect the amenity of any of the flats then? (Can't look at plans at the minute to guage) that's probably your best line of objection I would say.
Also, is this...
