Oh cock. And I haven't finished my flat yet.
Talk those East London prices up people! I need a couple more months! -
• #5778
profiteering are we ?
it would be nice if houses just settled into a nice inflation plus 3% price rise for the next 20 - 30 years
why don't house prices normalise, it's always either racing up or racing downdo governments see them as a political footballs to manipulate and use to increase popularity

Cashing out of London after 15 years.
This current price situation has provided the only time I can remember where I can sell my flat in Bethnal Green for enough to buy a reasonable 3 bed house in the area of Surrey want. I am anxious about missing that window. -

shiny suited estate agent, with eyes just slightly too close together, just arrived to value next door
same base house exactly, slightly different arrangement of rooms and i've done a little extension on mine but will be interesting to see what the outcome is -

Don't knock estate agents, they're worth their weight in gold...
Based next to the River Lea is this beautifully quiet and tranquil flat.
As you step inside and make your way down the long hallway you have your choice of rooms to choose from. If you’re heading out for the night then either of the two double bedrooms is the perfect place to get ready.
On the other hand if it’s a peaceful night in that you would prefer then why not quickly put together some fresh ingredients and get dinner in the oven and then for the next hour relax comfortably in the lounge.
The lounge is a lovely size and has enough space for you table and chairs so you can enjoy eating your hard cooked meal comfortably at the table.
Along with this flat comes a parking space for one car but should you have guests there are no parking restrictions limiting who can come to visit.
I'm going to put aside the fact that if that's Dalston I'm Russell Crowe.

I'm learning to despise our vendor's agent. I wouldn't mind if they were just lazy or didn't answer the phone, it's the bare faced "I will do this" - doesn't do it, that irks me. Thankfully my mortgage dude is dealing with all the actual important stuff.

to be fair, it wasn't a very steep learning curve

^^^ That's beautifully written. I particularly like the way they chose the words they had to choose from.

Not really tempted by the hard cooked meal.
