Just a note. The LHBPA approach is not to discourage people from doing things independently or anything. But if we could get all 60+ people that are on the LBP sub-forum to join the Association, then we could have serious leverage for getting a dedicated court -- for instance, a new roller hockey court with bleachers and lights that would be dedicated for polo. We may have to try to share it with fucking rollerbladers, but if we roll up with a deep organization, we have may be able to get our own thing.

Ok, was down at HOP last night. Spoke to the bloke about these floodlit netball courts. Unfortunatly, although the lights are there in body, they are not in spirit in that there is no electricity to them. really yhtat makes the courts pretty useless as there a long was out and don't have much going for them

I spoke to the Sarah at Regents Park about that un-used tennis court and it has already been earmarked for another use.
Despite offers to assist funding, rejuvenate it, bring in London’s most exciting new sport and even doing the leg work they cannot help. They also have no other spaces within the royal parks that are available for a simple hard court. Nothing fancy, just a hard court with lights.. one that can be easily made multi purposed. Shame
On the up side they have decided to turn that already existing hard court into meadow……

Portpool Lane.
Has solid metal posts (4 of them i think) holding up basketball hoops.
Close but no banana in my opinion.
-
• #68
I should add that the posts will definitely interfere with play as they stand alone some distance from the walls..
... can we get that map going so we can start adding these?
-
• #69
Is there not already a map?
Off to search...

I will add reviews to all the ones i know in Islington / Clerkenwell/ Farringdon.
Also if anyone finds a new one (in said areas) i can go and check it out pretty easily.

I'll join the courts committee if no-one from the other parts of London will step up... the court may end up North-East mind!
