  • just completed wh40k space marine, end battle was a nice surprise but not particularly challenging. I think i'm finally reaching the point where 'normal' difficulty in video games no longer provides much of a chalenge. LOVE the ending, really encapsulated the WH40K ethos.

Also those who have played dawn of war may appreciate the final battle sequence.

I thought you got to play through as a chaos marine after completing, doesn't seem to be the case. Tempted to start another play through on hard, but i find it pretty difficult to revisit games.

  • A review of a review?

Well I was tasked by kirth to review a review for the game driver that he submitted to the average gamer website. Far from being utter shite the review gave a clear overview of a game that he was surprised he enjoyed, with few spoilers.

His enthusiasm was apparent throughout and the self deprecatory notes about his (in)ability to play driving games added a personal dimension to the review as did his references to living in san fransisco,

In summary kirth gave an honest clear personal recommendation which would help any gamer to decide whether to buy driver or not.

    nice review of a review...

  • I installed it, played for 5 minutes. It's pretty, but I sucked and died lots and have uninstalled.

When I finally got on I pretty much did the same, getting killed out of nowhere constantly is not fun.

  • Couldn't even get a game last night - although to be honest that was a blessing in disguise at 1am.

  • Just seen the Ridley Scott "Gettysburg" docu-drama....
Mind fucking blown. I REALLY hope Sega have see it.
    Total War: Civil War?..
    One can only hope

  • I used to have Civil War and fancy playing it again. However I think I downloaded it as I can't find any evidence of buying it.
A while ago the EA online store was running a promotion and their coding was shit so I got 3 games including Mirrors Edge for free. I can't remember what the other 2 were but a couple days ago I fancied downloading mirrors edge again and I can't find any trace of the EA games thing on my computer or the receipt from "buying" the games. I checked my account on their website and they only game it of theirs it says I have is battlefield 2. It's no great loss but quite annoying.

  • You HAVE civil war? I wasnt even aware there was a Civil War strategy game! Nice

  • I mean that one set in america

  • Empire: Total War?

  • probably that.
Anyway, managed to download EA Origin, work out all their dumb ass menus that keep popping up on top of each other and individually asking for a log in and now I'm downloading Battlefield 3 Beta.

  • I've got windows XP so I can't play it apparently

    ^ This.

got Broadband connected last night and played my first WH40k multiplayer. I liked it a lot.

Nice review of a review of a review.

    Meta-review?

  • got 90% of battlefield 3

  • 90% off? Where?

  • His dreams

  • of not off

  • really liking battlefield 3

  • Just picked up GoW3 for the w/e
Now all I need is some really shit weather so's I don't feel like I should be outside

  • Finished Lonesome Road. What a shit DLC that was.
How is that story supposed to wrap things up? I had given my courier his own backstory; he was down from Reno. Now he's from the east, set up home in Hopeville, wtf? And Ulysses can fuck right off with that pretentious, nonsensical babble he spouts rather than actual, you know, dialogue.

    Although Red Glare is fun.

  • Went to Game on Oxford St at lunchtime to pick up the Ico collection thing only to find that the queue was almost out the door. Fuck you, FIFA12.

Managed 3 hours on BF3 last night, I reckon it's awesome so far. This is despite losing the server connection several times which meant I lost a lot of rank/achievements I'd have otherwise had. They're all getting reset once the beta's over, so not that big a deal. Haven't tried to get on the Caspian Border map yet, but the youtube videos look amazing.

Battlelog is pretty cool too, lots of info about unlock progression. Just noticed it even has a history of your recent games. Was checking out the criteria for some of the awards, and they haven't half set the bar high. For example 10 hours on static weapons, 20 hours in helicopters, 100 hours played on each side. Good job I'm not a compulsive completionist.

  • anyone who's playing the BF3 beta.

    Battlefield 3 names list:

  • Oh my god shadow of the colossus is hard.

I think I'm doing it wrong.
