  • Without them, I wouldn't have gone up to levels 30 nearing the hoover dam battle.

  • I'm at 43 now, would you like to says that to my character face holding the 'Oh Baby' weapon?

  • Dropped into Eurogamer Expo briefly today... Dark Souls looks pretty impressive!
Managed to snag an Onlive Box... was ready to check out how well streaming a video game works, except their service can't handle the demand facepalm

    Everyone else ignored this!

Onlive box, you say?! I haven't thought about Onlive for months. Has anyone tried it? I'm downloading the PC app now to give it a go.

  • First game on onlive is £1. They have Deus Ex:HR. Fuck, if it runs well and in PC quality, I very much regret buying it for Xbox. Tempted to buy it again just so I can use the mouse, but I could use that £1 deal on something else..

  • Playing a demo of DIRT 3 and it's working really well over wifi (which it recommends against). I'm guessing quality scales based on bandwith, so it may look better if I went ethernet. Doesn't seem to be any ping issues. This is the future. Question is, how will it be when BT starts throttling the interwebs this evening. If it's still good, I'm sold (I think).

  • 14?? Jesus have you played Fallout??

there's a lots to go, small side mission for example, as for companion - use the fallout wiki to find out what you're missing.

i.e. Cassidy is in Mojave Outpost drinking her sorrow, what else? oh Veronica in Trading 188, sound like you hasn't got Veronica, and you decided to kill at the BoS, in effect you managed to kill an entire quest with Veronica with the BoS.

Ed, any chance of borrowing your copy of fo3 when you are sated? It worth a souths burger for you ;)
Until then ill be playing Borderands again with the sole aim of making the quickest most badass machine pistol! So many little reasons to enjoy that game...

New Vegas DLC: Lonesome Road Trailer - YouTube[/ame]

  • It's ok - quite good but quite basic really in term of controls. you basically run around shoot and tap x in combat wildly.

Basically I would wait til it drops to £20 or so then pick it up then. I only bought it as I used to be a warhammer 40k geek and used to play as ultramarines....

Miss my 40k/warhammer days sometimes... Stil got my undead army in a carry case (mainly damaged of course). Managed to crack Dark Omen on Win 7 last month - just as good as I remember but no hardware support ;(

/goes off to buy very old pc with win98 ftw

I was playing Borderlands last night and was very impressed. Occasionally the graphics changed, guess it was bandwidth squeeze. There's some minor artifcating, but it worked.

I really liked being able to watch other people's games, bit odd, but still fun!

Feel free to add me on the various gaming platforms:

    PSN/Steam/OnLive: Kirth
    Xbox: EvilKirth

  • ^ what killed boarderlands for me right from the outset was there was no DRM at all, nice in theory, but you could edit the files of the game to gives your weapons whatever stats you liked.

  • So tempted to buy Deus Ex again for a £1 just for the mouse!! argh! Any recommendations on the other games available? Just played the 30 minutes of Batman. It was alright, but... Tempted by Homefront, but I heard the single player stuff is pretty short.

  • Unlimited game play for three months if you're a BT broadband customer. Sweet!

It's definitely top-heavy on post processing effects. Frankly, considering its fairly unusual graphical stying, I think its a great looking game on max settings. One thing that was a huge et down for me was the end-boss/beast 7 second kill on single play..... C'mon! Wheres the challenge?!

You could just not edit them ;) ;P

If you've got an nvidia GPU theres a program (forgotten the name, possibly NVTweak) where you can force/unlock a bajillion graphic settings for borderlands (and others) that make it absolutely stunning :)

    /notcompletepixelwhore,honest;)

  • Does anyone fancy borderlands tonight? I've downloaded it (on steam) but never actually got around to playing it. Would be great to have a game with a few of you lads.

  • Picking up wheels at 6ish but could be fun later in't evening

  • I could be tempted to buy it, I only did the trial

  • Arge, no I won't. Not tonight, too much else to do

  • Sounds good to me;

my name on steam is spenceey.

If no one is down for that I'm always game for some counterstrike as I'm sure more people have got that and we can get a good game going.

  • Anyone know a fix for getting Medieval: Total War (1) to work on Win7?
Miss that game a lot! Want to give it another blast

  • Feck, no clue what interview questions to ask for End of Nations tomorrow.... help!!!

  • I've only just had a quick look at their website, but there's got to be a few questions in how the meta-game is handled. Is there a hierarchy among players so some can command or restrict others? How much advantage can players build up for themselves? Isn't there a trade-off between letting players get stronger, and no-one wanting to fight battles against heavy odds? How are players matched up for battles? How is bad player behaviour managed (sabotage, team-killing, leaking information to the enemy)? What tools are there for planning and coordinating and commanding other players?

  • moth, thank you!

part of the problem is, the real interview is for Rift, which I play and know inside and out. Trion then emailed me to say I'd 30 minutes for EoN and 30 minutes for Rift... so was a case of "FUCK". :)

  • Looking at more website: 'the league of nations is non-player faction that provides a common enemy for the player factions'... but there will be PvP too. Will PvP be part of the main strategic conflict?
