I got all to the end of nv, then my ps3 YLODed.
Had to start again, gone for a bare knuckle brawler this time.
It's hard. Deathclaws are nigh on impossible.

Ok so I decided to go it alone and kill Mr house. I've just blown up the dam and now on my way outside. Once I've completed this quest is there still loads to do? I feel like it hasn't taken me all that long to get here! Unless I've skipped quests, can you do that?

there's still load to do, quite hard to tell which's which you've completed, most importantly - do the add=on, especially The Lonesome Road, which is all about Courier Six and his journey, pretty much the proper ending to Fallout NV, and funnily enough, felt more like Fallout 3 than NV.

Thing is it came up telling me I'd failed a lot of missions, I take it these are the ones when you side with mr house, the legion or the NCR? I can't wait to get home and play more of it tonight. Finally got the perk so I can repair my sniper rifle and with my high sneak I'm deadly!!

Next play through I'm playing as a melee/ hand to hand. Bring it on deathclaws!!!

ah some mission you'll undoubtly fail, like Cassidy for example, not bringing her to the.. silver bullet? to get executed by one of the brother will result in that, but it's merely a choice rather than necessary.

Also when killing loads of the Brotherhood of Steel I found these keys, do they work on the bunker which the ranger lives in?

yep, there are a lots of bunker for different faction, the BoS one is further up near... that railway next to a mine.

what level are you?

Anti Material Rifle, Psycho, Steady and bingo (from a distance with headshot naturally).

I'm half way through level 14 - should easily be 16 by the time I've done last quest.

I've made my character a sneaky sniper so I get crits most of the time, best thing is I can now repair the sniper with any rifle and due to my high luck I've got a shit load of money (lots of ammo)

Now without sounding stupid where do I get a companion?

I gave up on the companions

They kept getting in my way, and then getting dead.

there's a lots to go, small side mission for example, as for companion - use the fallout wiki to find out what you're missing.

i.e. Cassidy is in Mojave Outpost drinking her sorrow, what else? oh Veronica in Trading 188, sound like you hasn't got Veronica, and you decided to kill at the BoS, in effect you managed to kill an entire quest with Veronica with the BoS.

Yep I've played fallout. I just don't like wandering for ages sometimes with nothing to do which means I tend to get on with the main quests.

I'll try and get on with some side quests tonight. Shame about the BoS quest but they deserve to die anyway.

You'd get a better relationship with BoS if you had Veronica as your companion.

I'll finish that last mission tonight then set about the other missions, that's the way I normally play games, finish the main quest then do the side ones.

I just play as I go along, i liked the 'come fly with me' mission.

Forget about a dog, go it alone man, silent but deadly, companions are just dead weight.
