  • Cheddar, tomato, Heinz salad cream on granary. Old school bliss....in a bait box, with cheese n onion crisps. In the staff room, at break. Beat that....

  • Not altogether sure you can claim to have invented the cheese and tomato sandwich though. Even adding the salad cream falls short of innovation in the field.

  • Vegan cheese n polish pickles on pitta and granary for the canteen platter win?
    Going in 5, 4, 3...

  • Mature cheddar, peanut butter and cucumber, on home-made wholemeal. Really getting into peanut butter at the moment. Very versatile for sweet or savoury goodness.

  • Crying out for Facon.

  • Top idea, unfortunately no frying/grilling-based facilities here :(

  • It's a fair cop....a bit like claiming the credit for driverless vehicles. My wife invented that years ago.....

  • Bread of your choice, strong cheddar and onion bhaji mashed or sliced with salad cream or your choice of chutney.

  • Milo and double cream in a sliced doughnut

I like what you're doing here.

I had a Milo sandwich the other week. #oldskoolaussie

Also, bake cheap packet cake, pour runny cream on it and mash it until it becomes a paste, use this paste as sandwich filler. Win.

  • Surely salad cream and chutney, no?

  • Cauldron foods veggie sausage x 3 of course on real bakers white - not asda tiger loaf junk, rocket, little olive oil, sriracha chilli mayo. Scooby snackage.

  • Not my invention but stolen from Princi...
Slice of Focaccia with cream cheese spread on top with some Mortadella and Rocket - broken-up pistachios sprinkled on top and maybe some olive oil.

  • This sounds fucking amazing...how do you save an onion bhaji from the hungry masses? Don't tell me you buy specifically for the purpose of ?!??!??

  • The little shop next to the Crown and Kitchen pub in Horton sells homemade bhajis and samosas which are perfection. When I can get them; Mrs CS never eats a whole one so I use it up in a sandwich. When I don't have them Tesco Vegetable Snack selection will do.

  • Sliced banana in sunflower seed bread. Glass of semi skimmed to wash it down. Would be perfect mid ride munch but neither travel well on a bike.
    Boo hoo.

  • Two Friday night options...

Battered cod and homemade chips with ketchup and mayonnaise all in a tortilla wrap. I call it the Batter Wrap.

Other favourite, 2x chicken kievs in an oven baked baguette. Lots of lurpak. Garlic herb sauce and buttery goodness. Enjoy.

  • Seeded sliced bread with cheddar, sea salt Tyrrells furrows and sriracha mayo sauce. Pretty good, would nom again.

  • Crunchy peanut butter, cream cheese and chopped celery. I used to include a few slices of liver sausage back in the 1990s.

  • Hummus, cherry tomato, onion, cucumber, cheddar cheese, cheese and onion crisps, balsamic vinegar and mayo.

The balsamic has got a bit lost in the flavour melee.

  • A length baguette of your choice filled with crunchy lettuce, cherry tomato slices, mayonnaise or salad cream with slices of scotch egg.

  • Mature cheddar, raw red onion, secret burger sauce* on seeded sliced bread... It's crack...

    * Big Mac sauce, they sell it in supermarkets in Australia...

  • IMVHO the best baguette is filled with jambon cru, cournichons and LOADS of butter... Baguette has to be of the highest quality, obvs... Preferably eaten al fresco in Paris as you're walking about being a Brit twat...

    That does sound ace tho'...

  • To be honest, anything that has scotch egg in it will get my attention.

  • batter wrap sounds delishhh
