Houmous n Kimchee
What the hell is left in the fridge? -
• #79
Kimchee smells foul, only equalled by the flatulence, probably a dead body to freshen up the place...

Mashed potato and grated extra mature cheddar in thick buttered crusty white bread. Is actually yes.

Nduja? I looked it up. I'm not drawing any conclusions until I try it but having done the research I suspect this might change my life......Rodabod....have you a good source?

Sounds like a posh version of my cheese and waffle sandwich (staple of my teenage years)
Pop 2 frozen potato waffles in the toaster (highest setting), butter 2 slices of white bread liberally, turn the waffles and toast again on a medium setting, cut some cheddar, put a hot waffle on each slice of bread, cheese atop those, slam it together.
Pure win.
Double carbs all the way. -

For shite white bread ie delicious, try Iceland Sliced White Tiger Bread. Sometimes I buy 2 at the same time.

I am currently eating a concoction that I made for myself after a bottle of wine last night,
Seeded brown bread , cheddar , homemade coleslaw (cabbage coriander , raisins) , lettuce, tomato and mango chutney.
Its well nice.

It’s a very special recipe, no farts

Fuck - that sounds delicious. I reckon merguez would be good in that too.
Not in a tortilla though. This thread is about sandwiches.

Your 5 a day in one sandwich? Chapeau!

Naan, cream cheese, spring onions, bacon, mango chutney. Fried egg as well if you're feeling particularly hungry/hung-over.

I feel like whatever that other bloke must have felt like when he got to the patent office and found that Alexander Graham Bell had beaten him to it! I got the bacon naan idea from a mate, but thought the cream cheese and onions were my own idea; as the Good Book says, there is nothing new under the sun...

A strong defence...and as you say, with precedent. Sentence suspended pending good behaviour. Enjoy!

Didn't know about this thread. Tonight after track training I threw together a load of leftovers consisting of ox tongue and gammon with cheddar, wholegrain mustard and picallili on tiger bread. Melted the cheese onto the meat each slice under the grill then assembled the sandwich and grilled both sides. Lovely.

Bite a small hole in a bag of crisps. Gently and firmly crush the bag on a flat surface. Tip the contents onto a slice of well buttered white bread. Squirt a spiral of tomato sauce over the crisp crumbs. Place a second slice of buttered white on top. Slam it down with the flat palm of your hand. This will minimise leakage when eating.
Tip: experiment with different flavours of crisps.
Note: don't be tempted to cut this sandwich in 2. It's a two-hander.
Warning: this doesn't work with all snacks eg Hoola Hoops where you may end up with hard baked potato based shards puncturing the skin on your palm.
Tuna mayo and green pepper toasties. Derided by cynics until tried!
