Discussion of voting for M-Com: 1 person, 1 vote?
I have stated my opinion on this here, which is that we maintain our current formal structure, but that we informally allow full voting, at the discretion of the M-Com. If someone else would like to make a formal change to the structure of the Association, they would have to present a constitutional Amendment, which would be discussed online and then voted on at the AGM.
In the meantime, I support a move to informal full voting (at the discretion of the M-Com), and I will move to adopt that as an informal policy of the M-Com tonight, or whenever the next meeting is.

The M-Com meeting has been postponed until May 4, for which we have confirmed that we will have a quorum.

Why not the bike cafe? That sounded much more interesting.

Is the actual name The Bike Cafe? Do you have contact info? Would you like to make the reservation?

It is called, 'Look Mum, No Hands' in clerkenwell, google for info or ask Mat cosmic as he mentioned in the LHBPA email convo that he had private contact details for the owners.

It's getting late. Let's just stick with the Horseshoe in Clerkenwell. It's already booked.

*This AGM is going to happen on Sept 6, 2010, 8pm at the Horseshoe, Clerkenwell Close EC1.
All polo players are encouraged to attend. We will elect new officers, discuss what we've done over the past year, and set the agenda for the new year.
If you do not want to attend but want to join, you can join the LHBPA for £5. Either give money to me or Lebowski or via paypal: andy@lhbpa.org.
We are trying to improve the courts situation for LBP, so please consider joining.

Will there be free booze?

Any ideas for securing a decent turnout? List time? Let's have a productive and fun year with the LHBPA, it would be good for everyone to be involved.

Also, I propose that we get rid of the £5 membership fee (and refund those that have paid for this year) as it is a barrier to getting involved. We can still run a membership process (to avoid the association being over-run and someone stealing all the funds) by simply using a referral system..? (Putting this out there now as many people won't want to pay £5 to get their voice/vote.)

It's just a proposal Joni, I'm not on the management committee and I'm not even sure if it's possible to make such a change at such short notice... I'm mostly just thinking out loud.

Eh?
I think he meant me...
Either way, I don't want the money back, it goes to a good cause.
I have a list of constitutional amendments that I have prepared. I will post these up on the private forum within a week, so that people have time to review them beforehand and hopefully we can vote on them relatively quickly. They have all been discussed before, and hopefully are not going to be contentious but are simply going to help improve our structure a bit. They include small amendments on quorum, rules, M-Com composition, committees, and the amendment process.
