  • Not to my taste, but congrats on new guitar day dude!

  • there's a bit missing

Sure thing, and it balances great on a strap. It seems to me that particularly on a bass headless makes a lot of sense. I've never had issues with the look, plus I'm going through a bit of an anti-trad phase. But most of all I'm digging the sound.

  • good job. it looks like a kubicki factor circa 1986. needs matching shoulder padded trenchcoat and jon taylor couiffure.

  • And high waisted balloon pants, those pointy boots with the zip and buckles and a big fuck off wind machine...

    Happy new guitar day!!

  • Haha, thanks :-)

I actually like how the bass looks, but I've also been lusting after '80s and early '90s superstrats so there you go.

  • I have dirty super-strat secret lust too. I blame exposure to hair metal at a vulnerable age.

  • bc rich / kramer or gtfo tbf

  • reverse pointy>>pointy>>none

  • Kramer Baretta... I've been lusting after one for a while... You can get a modern MIC one for fuck all money...

You only need a bridge humbucker, no one uses the other pickups anyway... 🤫

  • isnt that pretty much an EvH kramer?

  • It is indeed... There's a beautiful bullseye Floyd-Rose one doing the rounds at the minute that I would love... At least these fuckers stay in tune, my Tokai goes out when I even think about touching the fucking tremolo...

  • yeah that's a bit zakk wylde - go for the white one.

  • Pointy headstock chat led to googling my first amp. PROUST IAN RUSH!

  • Lol I had one of those. Old Peaveys are surprisingly good amps, I'm not a fan of the distortion but those big old cleans are very powerful. I reckon they might very well become quite hip over the next few years.

  • They already are, hipster gear nerds are on it over here...

  • Ha really? Christ man, we're living through weird times.

  • bc rich stealth or gtfo tbf

  • filth.

  • Ordered some of these...

    and these...

for my Taylor BT2 Baby. Going to get a bone nut and saddle fitted too. Should be nice for traveling for work. It's a nice sounding little guitar let down by cheap tuners and finish kit.

  • Nice. I spent more than my 80’s Sigma is worth on doing it up with a nice on board pre-amp, re-fret, new bone nut and saddle a few years back. Worth every penny to have a guitar you like turned into one you love.

  • Thinking about getting some vintage tuners on my 2001 Tele too.

  • That's awesome, I'm planning a refresh of all of my guitars over time. Depreciation on PRS actually makes it a sensible option:)

  • Mmm. Do want.
