Make it fifty dorrah and it's yours Niall.
I think it's well ugly, the first and fifth numbers in the very badly stamped serial no denote it's 1979, also stamped 'second' presumably because of the myopic dater or the two blemishes on the neck...? It's definitely the real deal, it's been in an attic for 30 years, original case and scratchy pots...
If ya want moar pics mr slain drop me a pm, it's also in West Dulwich if you wanna caress it.

I emailed an expert pal of me dads and he said $1000-2000 depending on how good it is in real life, how it plays, how shagged the electricals are... I reckon £800-1000 in real monies?
I'll share the csb of this guitar, my friend whilst holidaying in Goa got chatting to an ageing Italian hippy expat who was skint and was talking about this Gibson she stashed in her loft in the UK that she needed flogging to sustain her Indian dream. The current flat occupier had already rifled the loft and when my pal showed up fobbed him off with a squire or summit and my pal just thought the Italian lady had smoked too much weed and imagined the Gibson. Not so! Another visit to the ashen faced flat sitter and this appeared. So basically you would be buying it to keep an old lady in cannabis for the next 10 years. Please give generously. -

my mate says £1200 to £1600, more in a shop
he runs a fair few vintage guitar websites so he sees a lot of sales (and buys loads himself)

Nope. My soldering is woeful. Multimeters confuse me.

just had a proper browse of that site and realised that it probably won't be anywhere near as economical as i first thought. also not sure if i can be doing with the silly voltages that run through valve amps.
oh well!

I've built my own amp before. It's not economical to do - buying the parts is often nearly as much as buying a built amp - but it's great to learn exactly what goes into building amplifiers.
Once you get that first batch out of the way it's surprisingly easy, though you do have to be careful about the voltages.

Well don't all rush in at once.
Here's some film of a "live session" (rehearsal recorded with 2 mics).
Nice mics though mind. We're not savages.

Mate has a late 70's Gibson Explorer to sell (pics available if anyone here's interested). Other than eBay and Denmark Street where's a good starting point for achieving maximum £?
