  • ^^thanks for sharing.

  • A pleasure.

(hate the ramones not P basses btw, have reasons for it)

  • Niiiice. What *does *that forth knob control though?

Two volume and two tone pots (and a pick-up selector), standard twin humbucker fare... I can't wait 'til it shows up tomorrow... :D
And... The Ramones are one of the greatest bands to have ever walked the earth... WTF?!?

  • I can haz e-bow :-)
Ordered it from the US on Ebay, waited bloody ages for it to arrive.
Stung £18 customs charges, but that's still £20-30 saving on UK retail. woo!

Now just waiting for guitar strap cutting tools.

  • Let me ask you this. E-Bows - do them bitches work on an acoustic?

I ask because the only thing I dislike about playing my songs out on an acoustic guitar (as opposed to an accordion) is the fact that it's not possible to create a tone which doesn't almost immediately decay out to nothing.

    WHAT SAY YOU, INTERNET CHUMS

  • It just acts as a magnet, and keeps the strings vibrating, so yes.

It does not interact with the electronics of an electric in any way.

    I think.

  • so *that'*s how they work!

    who knew.

  • I will try and let you know.
I'm eager to see if it will work on the Variax.
You could get some good string tones out of that on a 12 string accoustic patch if it does.

  • ^although hes using it dam badly, using it too close to the strings, hence the buzz.

  • Interestingly, apparently its hard to trigger on the wound strings.

  • Sick. Oh man that has to be done. Fine work, LFGSS - once again you've found me more crap to waste my money on. Sterling work, everyone.

  • Interestingly, apparently its hard to trigger on the wound strings.

Cos they are bronze rather than steel wrapped I suspect.
Put electric steels on there and it should work.

  • ^but might sound a bit poo poo

  • But you're right, had not thought of the bronze. Not much of an acoustic guy myself.

  • Never got on with E-Bows... Fuzz-drenched humbucker through a Twin Reverb FTW!

  • Anyone got a pair of tasty humbuckers they wanna part with? Also after a nice P90...

  • I have a pair of Suhr DA humbuckers if you're interested.
Like this one, but a pair, and in black.

  • ^They're not quite as aggro as they make them out to be in the description. They are very defined and controllable. Output comes out at 17.5K, so pretty hot but not mind blowing.

  • How much, Morgasmotron? Not looking for anything super pricey, they're going in a £200 guitar...

  • No idea I'll text you later.

What's the Epi got in it now?
    singles in PAF casings?

  • Never got on with E-Bows... Fuzz-drenched humbucker through a Twin Reverb FTW!

    Never tried one.
    I had a specific need.
Not a fan of Fuzz except for a surf-rock sound. Prefer a nice bit of valve overdrive.

  • yeah, you bustin' that shit out tomorrow joe?
