Thought I would show you some work I had done by Paul at Zilla cabs.
He transformed my 1984 Mesa Boogie studio 22 combo (much like a lower powered mk2) into a head, and a 1x12 extension cabinet. The head now suits my Zilla panhead 2x12.

Heres what it used to look like,

I keep meaning to have a go at building a cab. It's only 4th or 5th on my project list at the moment though.

i'm down to just the champ at the moment. love it but i'm going to need something bigger soon. oh, i've got a peavey classic 30 stashed under the bed but y'know... meh, can't get excited about it.

just took the tele out of it's case for the first time in months today... and promptly snapped the (euph alert) shaft on the volume pot. got a new one this afternoon from regent sound for £6. an evening of burned fingers and swearing at the soldering iron beckons.

got a cheesy wedding covers gig to get practising for. also, all this talk of pedals has got me hankering after a really decent old overdrive and/or fuzz. good thing i'm flat broke really. arse.

teh fucktones are available for weddings, parties. bat/bahmitzvahs, diabolical black ceremonies to summon the forces of evil, children's birthdays, funereal processions - anything*.

*the presence of rickie fredo subject to availability of bag of unmarked, non-sequential bills/fecund women/waepons grade hash.

Anyone got a spare 2x10 or 2x12 cab going? Also wouldn't mind an attenuator, it's for a non master volume amp and I don't wanna alarm my neighbours (too much)...

You should give Zilla a call, he often has 2x12s or 2x10s in stock, and his prices are proper bang tidy.

I will do this right now... I actually found a Zilla-built 2x10 on eBay earlier today...

I have found Zilla to be some of the best built, most resonant cabs around. On par with kool and elfring, but they cost triple.

And have minimal options in comparison.

I've recently got in to Gang of Four in a big way, so imagine my surprise and delight to find out that my amp is pretty much what Andy Gill played in the early days...

Now all I need is one of these in blonde or maple, and I'm in business!
