I like the idea. I've got Max Frecknall hand-made humbuckers in my terrible Columbus LP.

I've been meaning to change the pickup on my Tokai Jr for years, the P90 in my '58 Jr rips open a hole in the fabric of time it's so awesome... Would be great to have something approaching that in the Tokai (and the Epi)... I used to have a Super DIstortion in the bridge position of my Gold Top and that sounded amazing...

The burstbucker 3 in my LP BFG is fucking awesome. It's also got a P90 neck. Amazing guitar.

Let me ask you this. E-Bows - do them bitches work on an acoustic?
I ask because the only thing I dislike about playing my songs out on an acoustic guitar (as opposed to an accordion) is the fact that it's not possible to create a tone which doesn't almost immediately decay out to nothing.
WHAT SAY YOU, INTERNET CHUMS
It just acts as a magnet, and keeps the strings vibrating, so yes.
It does not interact with the electronics of an electric in any way.
I think.
so *that'*s how they work!
who knew.
But how does the magnet work?

Ok, queue torrent of jesting regarding PRS lovers going country but what would you lot recommend along the lines of a Tele? I have a G&L Legacy (Strat) and I actually had a spin on a G&L ASAT Will Ray signature earlier today which sounds and plays amazing but looks very silly indeed. G&L is awfully tempting.
I would however like a B-Bender equipped guitar and rather than spend $1,000+shipping to send my guitar to Gene Parsons I'd like to get one ready equipped if possible.
Also I would quite like a Thinline style model. Single coil pickups rather than humbuckers though.
What comes recommended? I know it's near impossible to tick all boxes without going for something custom so does anybody have anything they'd reckon would be the best option? Playing alt-country/ country/ folk/ rock style stuff.

If there's a B-Bender in there please put me down for at least two... I turned down one of Keef's stage Tele Customs with a proper Parsons-White B-Bender in it for £700 back in 1989... Doesn't sound like a lot now, but back then it was a small fucking fortune...

B-Bender is awesome, very very tempted to go for the Fender Nashville B-Bender Telecaster, has the proper Parsons-White whole tone bender built in. Not keen on the extra pickup and the swanky pearloid scratchplate but otherwise it's awesome!

Hi. Anyone be up for buying some valves? Had a clear out yesterday and have a box full of goodies i no longer have a use for. Got some exotic nos gems such as a matched pair of USA Made Millitary grade Phillips EL34s, some brand new drive tested Harma 12AX7s and lots of more standard fayre of the Electro Harmonix, Groove Tubes variety. Lots of 12AX7/ECC83s preamp tubes and a few EL84s for yr Voxes.
Also have some Fender friendly rectifier tubes and a handful of slightly less common small bottle types like 12AU7/12AT7 useful for reverb drivers/phase inverters in Fender Twins/Pro/etc.
Oh and i have a matched pair of Sylvania EL34GAY (no sniggering at the back). Which you can substitute for a standard EL34 and will produce about half the output. Potentially handy for taming a twin etc. Took pics this morning, so let me know if you're interested and i'll sort out prices. The only ones worth real money are the Phillips EL34s and brand new Harmas, but the rest will, like a budgie, be going cheep.
Ta,
A

Unless its actually a headstock repair.

Difficult to tell from the pic, but it does look like the lacquer to me...
Some cheap coil tapped alnico humbuckers... The crappy P90s in my Tokai junior are pokier...
Fuck... Yes... I'm bringin' two geetars...
