He was. The Eurosport boys picked him before the prologue. Apart from the fact he's already a favourite they made note of his big rest post-Giro.

That is likely to change over the next three days though. Three flat days, two with early sprint points, I'm tipping Cav to start contending now and making a lot of progress very quickly. HTC have no GC contenders so really need to pull the points in quickly.

What did happen to Frank. I've not seen any close footage but it looked like he just took a dive and got used as a speed hump.

Tony Martin stacked it and Frank ran into him.

Hmm - I'm no Cav fan boy but i think he was docked 13pts and Thor won by only 10...
As far as the Haussler incident, MC did drift but HH had his head completely down and did end up hooking MC. The spitting thing afterwards was completely out of order, mind.

Don't even try going there. That crash was Cav's fault and Cav's alone.
It's why I'm going for Thor, although Petacchi seems to have taken some better drugs this year and is doing ok. McEwen too seems to have got over his knee injury and is doing really well, although I'd love to see him get a stage.

But Thor would have sprinted for the line on the last stage if Cav hadn't been docked the points, he would have beaten or finished close to Cav, thus negating the argument that Cav would have won without the points dock.

I don't think it's quite as bad as what... 8 fucking plates? His arm must've been so far displaced as to be inside his own anus..
