  • But what if Rob is at the top of the banking. Which is 23degrees I believe. Don't know the length. eh eh?

  • on the top like spectating? ;)

  • Work out how much further Mike rides when he races on the blue :-()

  • Did this in under 15 mins last Saturday, 7.2 miles apparently.

Why did you go up to Oval instead of Acre Lane/Coldharbour?

  • He had a couple of minutes to spare.

  • Why did you go up to Oval instead of Acre Lane/Coldharbour?

Because I took a wrong road I think, I didn't know the route...

  • I think you;re all missing the point...

I haz one of them. Black though.

    awaits 'racist' comment

I got from there to my place in Bethnal Green in quick enough time for the sausages I removed from the barbeque to still be hot. They warmed the bread too, so my girlfriend had sausage sarnies for her dinner.

  • I overtook Tricity Bendix the other week.

Presumably she then caught you, overtook you and then put you in the gutter for the bare faced temerity?

What he isn't mentioning is that he overtook me as I was getting on my bike and adjusting my bag (which I nearly took him out with, sorry again about that) having left the office about 15 seconds previously...

    :D

  • So,

i did my personal best riding from Dean St, Soho to the top Kingsland Road (outside the big Oxfam) in 11 minutes.

    proud/brag/so what?

anyone else got some personal triumphs?

Brick Lane to Oxford street, queue for five minutes to exchange a piece of photographic equipment, pack it in my bag, and back to truman brewery in 28 minutes, was with Nosferatu for the whole thing as well, that was a fun ride :)

  • Because I took a wrong road I think, I didn't know the route...

Good job you had that jet-pack to hand then! (average speed > 28.8 mph) :)

    obligatory 'carry-on' innuendo image..

  • Bristol to London and back carrying the latest NASA space station and some read salted crisps.. 2 minutes 14, including the time it took to rebuild my wheel onto a new hub.

  • Also I set a new PB on my work journey this morning 5 minutes dead for 1.83 miles through heavy Central London traffic :) 21.9mph average speed.

  • Did a poo, sent my mum a text and rode to wetherspons all in 3min last night

  • Did a poo, sent my mum a text and rode to wetherspons all in 3min last night

you should have sent the text whilst having a poo and used the extra time to go to a decent pub

  • eh?
I did all 3 at the same time.

  • such a fast journey could have only been acheived using the hipster superhighway. that's one fast motherloving road.

  • Are you sleeping in the office again hippy?

I arrived at my office yesterday.. now that's quick!*

*of course I also left for the office yesterday so that kinda ruins the time travel aspect a little.

  • This nearly made me splutter my tea all over my computer screen.

    Seriously though impressive time.

    From Bradley Wiggins' Twitter:

"Just found out someone on lfgss rode from Soho to Dalston in 11 minutes. Sort of puts my Tour performance into perspective."

  • I find that my journey averages out to the same no matter how fast I go- if I decide to spin along as fast as possible then I need to spend longer outside cooling down before going inside.

If I dawdle I can go straight inside.

Result= always takes around 20/25 minutes, even if the ride is 15 minutes, if you see what I mean.

  • i rode 5 miles in 22 minutes, average speed 13mph. I stopped and unclipped at red lights, slowed to let peds wander blindly into my path and took it easy on the wet roads round bends...

  • ^rad^

did you stop and fix a puncture too?

Drafting.. they go from rider to rider using the draft created by those oversized sunglasses glued to many hipsters face. this same effect can be gained from Flock of seaguls style ironic haircuts.. often seen in this area

You also need to bear in mind the way skinny jeans carve through the air
