Windstopper is a softshell fabric (and it's essentially full Goretex actually) so yeah, it should be toasty (and possibly quite steamy).

They're actually warm? I have a Rapha Softshell which I felt is a little chilly after being used to the Swrve Milkwaukee (which admittedly is very overkill)
Ed if the softshell is not warm enough then you need to work a bit harder on the bike. Those things are like frigging ovens.

Are you talking about the Rapha one or Swrve?

Waffa

That doesn't sound right. I'd guess someone doing the same job for an independent organisation would have 'passed'.
Rapha phoned me today and said they have decided they made an error in declining my application and I am now in the Industry Purchase Program.
So, nice and a little less pricey for me...

nice but indicisive

I could not get those due to the high exclusively of them from Primark.

Excellent, what are you going to buy?

fuck me, wearing a pair of the winter socks for the first time today. I feel like i've got my feet stuck in a couple of clouds. very nice (but pricey)

they are really lovely, saw one of the test models, designed to stretch a bit when you lean forwards on your bike
-
• #9913
Don't all belts stretch a bit when you move around? The style, quality, colours and logo would probably be enough to sell it but 'cycling belt' seems a bit of a (wait for it) stretch...

designed to stretch a bit when you lean forwards on your bike
Oh p-lease.
It's clearly made by Anderson's, who've been making that style for eons. The Uniqlo is a cheap copy.

Royles cocked up. I got some ladies med arm warmers but need large.
Anyone want to swap? prolly translates to a mens small, swap for a mens medium.
first world probelms... -

mands, send them back to Rapha.

mands, send them back to Rapha.
Interesting, would they do swapsies considering they came from Royles?
-
• #9920
In that case, send them back to Royles and ask for a different size, or a refund.

Yeah thanks.
I didn't want to get into the whole story, but...
...did, they weirdly, don't have stock of L. Offered me assos - they suck big time in comparison. I still want arm warmers. Thought I might try my luck here. :) -
• #9922
Assos suck?
Emphasised.

I considered getting a pair but told myself I could do without. You may have changed my mind - drat.

I much prefer my assos armwarmers to my rapha ones. ditto kneewarmers. each to their own.
Rapha winter socks are a thing of wonder, however. -
• #9925
More research leads me to Royles sending these as replacement - Assos Arm Protectors - so I don't dispute that their warmers probably are better.
So essentially different products, different purpose. sigh.Their protectors are akin to me snipping off the legs of a pair of 100 denier ladies tights.
Hmmm...business idea...
