  • rapha have bummed me out for the first time ever. ordered tuesday morning expecting delivery (free option) within a couple of days per the many times i've ordered from them before. thursday evening and still no despatch mail meaning no delivery by tomorrow. this means i'll have to ride a (forecast chilly) sportive this weekend wearing a not-rapha baselayer.
it's enough to make me spit my soy decaf latte.

They've been a bit slack of late, I think because of the summer sale volume, but considering this is Rapha I would have thought they would have a contingency for this kind of influx. I mean, it's all about customer service as well as quality kit no?

My short sleeve city shirt took an age to arrive. I sent back another shirt last week to exchange for a smaller size and heard nothing back from them until I emailed to see what was going on yesterday. Got a short terse response saying they would let me know within 6 days.....

    ?

  • Their slackness has started since a certain forum member started working there. Go figure.

  • I told them I thought most of their customers were dicks when I started.

  • like they didn't know that anyway..

  • *They *think most of their customers are dicks too. I'm only doing what it says in the handbook.

same deal. returned something last week.
got a little paranoid after not hearing back, mailed and got a terse reply too.

yeah, bulk up headcount or processes if you plan for a spike. sale prices shouldn't mean compromised service, especially not when you're a premium brand (and the guys who work in picking and despatch are likely having a shitty time of it too).

    It's their job.
    just saying.

  • sorry man, still tainted by adolescent socialist leanings.
need to adopt an ideology more appropriate for a man in his 30s.

*If you are not a socialist by the time you are 25, you have no heart. If you are still a socialist by the time you are 35, you have no head

  • As someone who's worked in mail order picking and despatch, the 'shitty time' that coincides with peak periods is usually nothing to do with the workload, but more to do with the fucking attitude you get from the bosses who can't handle stress.

    Just saying.

  • i hear you. did a stint in the new look warehouse in dorset years ago. if sucked generally and the attitude bit you mention held true there too.

  • Lol. First world problems.

  • I had to have quiche for breakfast as the nanny hadn't gone out to get any milk for my cereal. Seriously, what the fuck do I pay her for?

  • ^socialist

  • quiche?

    kedgeree surely?

  • He's Australian.

  • sorry to hear that

  • You need to understand the past tense.

    Just saying.

  • I got a good friend the Rapha/Paul Smith windproof shirt for his birthday the other day- he loves it, I'm very tempted to get one myself, looks very nice.
