Both of rapha's merino hats are a bit of a bargain at the moment - the skull cap is £15, and the (Paul Smith) knitted cap is £20. I love my skull cap, which I got last year as a gift. If you want a winter hat, now might be a good time to splurge. The skull cap doesn't even look like rapha. Which is a good thing.

I might have a big fat bonce, but I brought the merino beanie last year and found it didn't provide great coverage. Standard single layer polartec beanie was offered a written apology and returned to full employment.

rapha have bummed me out for the first time ever. ordered tuesday morning expecting delivery (free option) within a couple of days per the many times i've ordered from them before. thursday evening and still no despatch mail meaning no delivery by tomorrow. this means i'll have to ride a (forecast chilly) sportive this weekend wearing a not-rapha baselayer.
it's enough to make me spit my soy decaf latte.
