Rapha's Bilkeny continental ride bikes - anyone know what the bottle cage is? looks really elegant. My bike doesn't have any bottle cage mounts so been using a band adapter thing to a cheapo £2 bottle cage (hideous and its very good at destroying bottles), looking to get a decent cage + 1litre bottle (so then only need for 1 bottle anyways).
Anyone any idea what the cage (above) is? -

Look like VO Modernistes, but I think there are other manufacturers who make similar shaped cages:

cheers! Looks close enough, and velo orange stuff is of good quality, will likely go for one of those.
I'm surprised there are not more 1litre+ bottles around, I guess there isn't enough space/need for them in most frames. -

Anyone got any experience with the On-One merino top and the bibs? I think the price only counts till midnight though so need to make a fairly sharpish decision :p
I've got one of these in black, less of a brandathon. Seems like good quality, and it's a nice fit. Only worn it a couple times though.

Well got my green on one merino zipped top....
Quick as hell delivery, great fit for me (though sleeve cuffs are very tight and I like to roll sleeves up and down many times on a ride) though it is shorter back length rehab what is quoted on the website by 5cm. Pockets on back are great, good size and depth and stitching is good enough not to worry about small items falling through any gaps etc (like some tips I have owned).
The bad... Yes it is very flimsy feeling so washing and handling of the garment needs to be more careful than usual. And for the merino content, I'm not sure, to wear at 20mph flat ground pace it does let a lot of wind through so then there is a need for a base layer. The wool doesn't feel as velvet soft and dense as other merino items I have tried.**brick verdict **- merino content argument aside, for 20 quid you are getting a neat fitting stylish and functional wool zipped top, which in my book ain't bad at all (you would pay for for a decathalon rquiv of leer build quality). ** 6.5/ 10** :)

wash the on-one merino jersey on too hot a wash and it will shrink like a bastard.
mine went from perfect fit to me not being able to get my hands through the sleeve holes.

^ sounds like a great tip for getting it a bit denser/windproof - just buy 2 sizes up first!

^^ I (my wife) did that to my first one. Luckily, that made it a perfect fit for a 'normal' sized person so I gave it to Tom.

'Nother recommendation for the One One merino jersey. Mine came yesterday (also mega quick), wore it for my slightly-colder-than-usual commute today and it was nice and warm with a t-shirt underneath. Pockets are nice and big but it's not that long at the back.
Been wearing it all day as the office is a bit chilly, it's pretty comfy though it's not as soft as some other merino I have. Can't go wrong for £20 though :)

Rapha rain jacket arrived. Amazing. Feels so light.
Even wanted to try it out so much that I wore it when it was neither cold nor raining...needless to say, was sweating all over the joint.

Anyone any idea what the cage (above) is?Not the same but pretty similar (lips on bottom rather than top), price isn't Rapha-offensive, I have one and I liked the fact there's no lips in the front which give you more choice of bottle, that and it look real smart, cost $2 more;

Schoolboy error. You should have smoked it beforehand.

ED - yes they also look like the job, $8 for Ti tyre levers too. Found a 1litre water bottle, just about fits in frame, but if I was to get one of the above cages with its open front it would fit easy as a smaller bottle. Deal!

After reading this:

It was disappointing to see that the R+PS gloves are made in Indonesia. What's that all about?

That factory is next door to where I grew up - parents still there. We used to skate board the ramps outside their warehouse. Used to be loads of glove makers in south somerset, this is one of the last ones. Hence Yeovil towns nickname - the glovers
Cool story etc....

I stupidly assumed that the track mitts would be too. It does say 'hand made' in the description, just not where.

I have a large pair of the undies for sale if anyone wants them. Unworn and in their original packaging with labels...no bumsweat included.
I bought two pairs but have only ever worn one as I am spending more time lycra'd up on the roadie.
£20 collected SW6
cheers!
