That jumper would have been the absolute dogs bollocks in 1986 when I last wore one.

Big discounts on a couple of items until April 1st....
30% off of the Pro Team Jacket, Transfer Jacket, Transfer Gilet & Winter Jersey.
Discounts apply in the basket.
This makes the Pro Team Jacket a balmy £154. Nice but not so pricey...

Thats not too shabby at all...tempted...

I know. I already have the PTJ so don't need another.
Anyone have the transfer jacket? Is it any good?
-
• #15908
What would you use it for?
Also I like that Rapha don't have 'sales'. Just 'clearance'.

What would you use it for?
Transferring, obviously.
Seriously; probably just as a lighter jacket for casuals and stuff.
-
• #15910
Filthy casual.

Just googled for an "dogging" image in an attempt to make some sort of joke. Safe search off.
Much more nsfw than I thought.

Transfer is good as a casual piece or for short periods of activity.

Hmm.
Have the PTJ. But reckon I could still use a winter jersey.

What's the difference again?

You're a piece.

Is the transfer jacket comfortable around the shoulders/back when in a fairly aggressive position?
-
• #15917
The guy in the Rapha shop told me that they are going to be discounting different parts of their range by 30% throughout the year as Rapha is ten years old in 2014.

I wouldn't wear it for any aggressive riding as you will boil. Nice jacket for pootling around town or off the bike, although very easy to damage.
-
• #15919
Not for aggressive riding (ie fast), just a bike position that makes normal coats/jackets very uncomfortable for said pootling...

How "not 100% waterproof" is the PTJ?
-
• #15925
Keeps drizzle and light rain out. But even if damp tends to stay warm.
I'd still take a rain jacket if rain was threatened.
^that's pretty funny as my cousins in essex and all their friends wear ^^ those jumpers and tend to get into lots of fights.
