For baselayers? I've tried all sorts (though not icebreaker) and Rapha have been the best by a margin. I like them soft and loose-knit/flexible so they cling and insulate just enough. Polyester is horrible when next to the skin and wet.
For jerseys polyester and polyester-lycra mixes have it all covered being better at getting rid of sweat (coolmax and lycra-mixes), windproof (both the lycra-mixes and the layered polyester used in winter-weight jerseys), quicker drying (all types) and less bulky (all types – especially when wet). I've only tried Rapha sportswool jerseys.

Torm's imagery is so gash. They've really managed to capture the shitness of cycling.

Compared to Rapha's pretentious bollockness I think Torm is actually quite ok....

Good: a copy that has been read but remains in clean condition. All pages are intact and the cover is intact (including the dust cover, if applicable). The spine may show signs of wear. Pages can include limited notes and highlighting, and the copy can include "From the library of" labels.

Just picked up a pair of the trousers from Rutland.
I couldn't find anything online about them. I'll report back once I've had a chance to wear them. At the end of the day it's £20 and my favourite Zara cycling trousers are feeling a little too cold this time of year.
I think their jacket looks like a pretty good buy if you're after a non-cycling looking jacket.
Trousers arrived (navy blue). First impressions...
- The material is visually excellent, looks like just chino material. If your top isn't tucked into your trousers then I really don't think you'd know they're cycling trousers.
- Did a quick unscientific test of running them under a tap and the water ran off and didn't soak.
- The fit is pretty much identical to standard Gap chinos but with a higher back/rear waste. My 34” width is pretty much on point with most other 34”, possibly a fraction bigger.
I have yet to ride in them, but based on first impressions I prob would recommend buying @ c.£50. For £20 it’s a straight no brainer.

Just ordered a pair, ta.

Ordered a pair as well.
Thanks for the review.

Are they slim fitting? Do you still need to turn up the drive side to prevent chain rub?
-
• #13769
I would say they're a "normal" fit. Not baggy, not skinny. Honestly, the comparison with Gap standard chinos is the best to go by.
If you look on the site there is a little button thing to bring this in. IME those type of things vary in effectiveness, so I'll reserve judgement until I've tried them.

Yeah, plus really reasonably priced. I have a Rapha base layer, but Torm Jersey. Think it looks pretty good, and fits well.

You ride too much. Start racing. Only lasts an hour and one lap.
Went in for a pair of boxers and to collect a warrantied pair of Grand Tour Gloves.
Shit.
