  • Do Supreme's come up a bit small like Kojaks?
Anyone running 32c on a 23-24mm rim and got a set of calipers handy?

  • they come up narrow yep. Missus running 28c on her talbot they come about 26.5 on DT Swiss wide rims.

  • Perfect, cheers! 32c pasela is a little tight under guards on the pub bike, hopefully supreme will measure around around 30c...

  • Disclaimer: The supremes I have are from 2014/15 not the very latest ones.

  • Ok. I'm guessing the ones on sale at Spa Cycles might be older stock, wait and see I guess...

  • How does the Supreme compare with Durano Plus? I presume it's heavier duty as it's in the Marathon series, is that right?

  • Someone on WW did tyre widths on different rims:

    Pacenti SL23 ’15 Rim = 20.3mm inside track width

  • So, what replaces the Open Pavè? Or should I just go for 4 seasons?
Need something new for training and riding the Flanders classics...

  • The new Vittoria Corsa tyres replaced the Open Pave.

GP4000sii are more comparable to Open Pave IMHO.

  • Any suggestions for a 26" light mtb semi slick tyre for daily pot hole commute/summer dusty single tracks?

Preferably +2.1" width (and sold at CRC as I am buying other stuff from there)

I had WTB Vulpine on my 29er. Something similar would be awesome.

    I am currenly looking at:

    • Michelin Wild Race'R2 TS
    • Continental Race King
    • Schwalbe Sammy Slick
    • Maxxis Ranchero

    Any thoughts?

  • @edscoble after a couple of rides, I am conceding that you are right about tyre pressures. I am now a low pressure person. 55psi baby.

  • Glad to hear it work for you.

Do you not have any problems about hitting potholes and the like with that pressure?

  • not really, the job is to avoid them ones, but the ones I have hit haven't been an issue.

This is also down to the supreme excellence of Open Pave's, which I also should thank the forum for.

  • Really keen to try some Compass Rat Trap buuuut they are a bit steep. I think @edscoble got info on these.

  • I am getting some compass 32-38c for the Cx later this year, but for the mtb I went for folding Sammy Slick. They had a good price and were only 490g pr tyre.

  • I have yet to get them as the Grand Bois Hetres still haven't worn out or receive a cut enough to scrap the tyres and I'm trying to get my money's worth out of it.

The tread still hasn't disappear yet since Summer 2014.

  • You using the Sammy's as all rounders? How are they so far?

@edscoble Siiiiick! That's great to hear. You reckon the ultralite is worth trying out? Really want to try a light tyre for a while.

  • I ordered them this morning.
They will be commuter/summer mtb tyres

  • Do you have a link for the 19030?

  • Cheapest place to pick up 25c schwalbe one tubeless?

  • one or pro one? silly names...

  • I got my One's from bike-discount.de

  • One Pro's are £35 each here, I doubt you'll be able the find cheaper than that.
