You mean paging "@mdcc_tester"?
Ooh, the "What pressure are you running?" question, which Bikesnob tells us has superseded all others when Freds collide.
There is no 'correct' tyre pressure, just run whatever the fuck you want. Don't take Ed's word as gospel, or mine. Try different pressures, try varying the front/rear differential and find what works for you.

Although FWIW, I've arrived by trial and error at numbers remarkably close to what's indicated on Frank Berto's graph for both my TT and road bikes.

Inflate Contis until they explode, replace with proper tyres and inflate to ~90psi, maybe 100 if you're feeling kinky or racing a 24hr on latex tubes. Then let them deflate until you're worried about pinchflatting on even the very smallest of potholes, which even for my fat arse was down to about 30psi the other day, then inflate back to near-enough-is-good-enough-90 and remember... hippy is always right.

Best tyres for a daily commuter - 35c.
Not heavy as hell. Replacing Conti Sport Contact. -

+1
love mine! -

..but on schwalbe's website marathon racer EVO had one more dot in rolling compared to supreme and kojak ! :) It is apparently discontinued now and has disappeared from the comparison. Get them while you can...

Cheers all. Not sure about Kojaks - various reviews citing a lack of puncture protection. Will try the supremes.

For racing: Conti GP 4k 2 with latex tubes or Schwalbe One Pro tubeless?
-
• #2517
What sort of racing? On what? For how long? With what grip/durability/handling requirements?

Mostly summer road crits, but I may use the tyres for the velodrome too.

Interesting article on Vittoria Graphene: http://www.cyclist.co.uk/in-depth/785/vittoria-the-future-looks-like-this

Worth reading just for the term "knob squirm"

Avoid Vittoria Randonneur Pros. Two punctures fairly soon after purchased and now had sidewall blow out (admittedly partly my fault) making one of them now unusable
-
• #2522
How puncture proof are Vittoria's Open Corsa SC? Would love to put the tan wall version on a new build but not at the cost of flats
-
• #2523
Well they're a race tyre so being puncture resistant isn't exactly their remit. That said I've had no issue with summer use, though I doubt they'd hold up in the winter.
-
• #2524
hmmm maybe I should wait to get the Graphene version, this would go to my "sunday best" but streets and roads here are litered with truck tyre carcass

Haven't had a problem with mine, ran em for 4 mths, then put em on the good lady's bike, been on there for 6 mths, not one puncture yet.
Possible, they do look very similar.
