Even easier is to not ride at all. Buy a car like everyone else, you poor, deluded fucking hippies...

Ive read threads on several forums mentioning the sidewall issue with Marathon Supremes and a V1 (sidewall vulnerable) and V2 (fixed) but how would you know if you had old or new version?
I've had 2 rears fail in last 2 years and got refunds no problem from Wiggle. Until they fail they are suberb commuters.

Which tyres should I get for my car?

Fulda.

Must admit I (well missus) suffered a sidewall fail too, gradual though so if you spot mid ride you could ride home. Again top service from Schwalbe for no questions asked new tyre. Currently on V2 so we'll see.

My 32c rear Spesh Roubaix Pro is continuing to do an excellent impression of a Marathon Supreme whilst weighing alot less.
Hope I can fit 32c Supremes under my guards now the 28c are dead

They almost always come up narrow at least by 2 to 3mm.

I bought a batch of 32mm specialized Borough Pro folders a few years ago, hard wearing, brilliant puncture resistance and fast rolling IMO, if you can find any, buy them.
I run them only on the rear with a 25mm gator on the front. As i'm around 105kg + up to a 15kg load on any given day the spesh gives me plenty of room for increasing pressure without losing so much on comfort, without a load of any note i try run it around 80-85, with a heavy load closer to 95, the gator runs at 90 usually and 100 with a heavy load bearing in mind that the load in the panniers is mostly going to weight over the rear wheel so the extra weight doesn't fit the 45/55 model given by Berto.
Once my current gator is done I'm swapping over to 25mm Schwalbe Ultremo DDs as I bought 2 of those on closeout as well, they're identical to the gators in inflated width (24.5mm) so looking forward to see how they perform (or not!) -

What's the choice wide-ish (27-32mm) road tyre now? Anything with nice looking sidewalls?

Anyone got any pics of a Michelin Pro4 23 on a normal size rim? Guess they come up a bit bigger than 23mm judging by there larger 25 ones.
Fair enough, a lots easier to avoid glasses is to not ride in the cycle lane.
