Are Schwalbe Luganos any good? Bike I just bought has them on in 25mm and I was wondering weather to ditch them while they're new and fit my vittorias

They're pretty shit

Loving the 40c marathon supremes so far. Feel lighter, faster and more stable than the 28c randos they replaced

• #2430
Cheers, thought as much, will swap out asap
-
• #2431
Cheers, they all seem pretty large

Which tyres for disc braked winter trainer with mudguards?

Are Schwalbe Luganos any good?
They're OK, but not worth buying.

Depend on how much clearance you got.

I have a synapse disc "adventure" - depending what guards I put on I'm hoping to run a 28 or 30
-
• #2436
Doesn't those model come with guard in the first place?
-
• #2437
It does, but I bought mine with £500 discount as it was ex-display and the guards were missing
Maybe my question should have been - which tyre and guard combo for disc equipped winter trainer?
-
• #2438
Biggest you can fit, 28mm maybe? least you can get some proper coverage like the SKS Longboard.
-
• #2439
Yeah I was thinking 28s and longboards or the Portland guards
Which 28s would you recommend?
-

Open Pave* and GP4000SII (in 25 as they're a little bigger than claimed sometime).
*gonna try the new Vittoria Corsa G soon to see how it fare.
-
• #2441
Awesome, I was thinking pavé in 25mm - I had some before that were nearer 27mm when fitted
Cheers Ed.

You gotta be quick as they stopped making them, replaced by the new Corsa.
-
• #2443
Yeah - just ordered a pair of 25s from sigma, 24.95 each
-
• #2444
Anyone out there tried the new Vittoria Corsa G+ Isotech Clincher?
-
• #2445
Was just about to ask the same. Went out with friends yesterday, 4 of whom had G+ in 25mm while I had Veloflex Masters and flatted 3 times. I'm pretty convinced but hard to get hold of G+, considering Ones but keen for a colourful tyre on my murdered out black steed.

Masters in winter!?
-
• #2447
Yeah. Idiotic. I know. Putting my GP 4Seasons on as a stopgap.
-

Dugast or gtfo. I find they really grip the sharp, wet flint nicely...
-
• #2449
Have to say, I keep being impressed by Paves. There's been plenty of unplanned diversions down flinty bridleways so far on the Festive 500 and not a single Ppnctr

Was looking for a decent set of gumwalls for an old build I have. Was looking into the masters, but then saw these new g+'s. Heard they are better wearing then the old evo's.
Also maybe look into the Challenge Stada opens as well.
25mm on Kinlin XR200 (traditional width rim).
