Me too. Shall we re-train?

Yes. Fuck the NHS. They don't appreciate me anyway.

T4 loves her Gores, too, we'll be having a try on sesh this Friday (during work hours, sorry!). I'll report back. My problem with the tights I've been using is that the padding is way too thick! The Gore Power ones have thinner pads and seem like they'll be good for average city riding. I don't know if I'll want any more on longer rides because I seem to recall riding in them and feeling majorly squished. To each their own...(I almost typed owEn there and laughed)

Aldi were selling 100% merino clothing yesterday. Short-sleeved for adults and long-sleeved for kids. Amazingly the kids size (14yo) fit me fine and women's size small was a little roomy!

OK ladies, need some help here. I'm 5ft 1 with a 27" inside leg and am looking for some winter bibs or long leggins that will fend off the cold for the Xmas day ride. Tried on a couple of pairs (Altura and Endura, I think) yesterday and both were long. The Endura were really warm as they had additional layer on the knee but with a zipped ankle, they just didn't work for me. I liked the Altura ones, although they weren't as warm and I guess them being too long didn't matter too much as I can live with some ruccles up the leg.
But, I would prefer some that fitted! Are there any out there? @CafeWanda - do you know of any?
Oh, and they also have to be priced low as I have 2 weeks left in my job before I'm redundant... -

I'm afraid I'm not much help hun, as I use a combination of thick tights and/or Decathlon legwarmers, with my padded shorts (3/4), possibly finished off with cut down trousers or running bottoms. My problem is maintaining warm fingers and toes and I might finally have that sorted, but the ride will confirm that or otherwise :-).

Looking for warm bib tights for my size 8 girlfriend at the moment, there's not much in stock at the usual suspects. Something like gore windstopper would be ideal, size 8, if anyone's got any tips where I can find some?
cheers -

cheersOh and seriously, buy them a size or two too small- I'm a 38 normally but my bibs are a 34. The last pair I had that I bought in my actual size went all baggy.
Got mine in Evans (not proud but they were in the sale) -

Has anyone got the dhb bibs? I've seen some good reviews and price is good but y'know, you can't beat reliable voices of experience!

Can anyone recommend a pair of women's undershort things? I was thinking of getting a pair for my partner as part of her Christmas present but am not sure which ones to buy.
All recommendations gratefully received.

do you mean padded shorts?
If so my Sugoi ones are definately my favourite. The chamois seems just the right size/placed and best of all the leg holes i.e. bottom of shorts (iyswim) aren't elasticated so my legs don't look like stuffed, minging sausages.

• #424
No, I mean shorts with padding to wear under normal clothes. Her only cycling is on family jaunts with me and our daughter.

Sugoi short liners are really good; I have the RC Pro liner and another that I hoiked out of some baggies and they're both super comfortable over stupid miles. Pearl Izumi liners at the higher end are also good (but the cheaper thin ones are a bit shoddy).
Ta for guidance ladyface!
And YES! to sat if it happens! Was watching the Revolution event earlier. I want to be a tarck cyclist when I grow up. Fact.
