    Glad to hear that.

@bothwell, @hats- those womens rides included a Rapha 100 one gloriously wet Sunday(?) that we didn't quite finish cos possibility of drowning on the roads. We may have soaked through some train seats on the journey back and decided to finish the mileage back in London. If it wasn't on that Rapha 100, I certainly did that years later when I got a punture on my Brompton whilst out at Richmond Park with another group of women, took that bike home and switched to another bike. Finished the mileage at about 11pm. Yes, my family and non-cycling friends thought I was crazy and they weren't wrong. Only cycling would get me to behave in such a way. LFGSS is where it started, so thank you all.

I don't visit this place very often, but dear God post a warning people!!! I thought YAL had died. Got all upset (never met him, I dont think), til I skimmed the first couple of posts. As you were :-).

I have a number of people on here to thank for my early rides (geared not fixed, cos still a coward). One of the numerous memorable ones is @clubman pushing up up an incline, with Bernie pulling me, on the Oxford Town and Gown ride. Fairly certain I did a gentle, sideways fall onto a grass verge cos was wiped out, having done a Friday night ride, but felt energetic enough to ride to Oxford. Not one of my better ideas, but I look back on that ride with fondness and a certain amazement that this old woman did it. Bernie also escorted me home from Victoria station cos I was toying with getting a cab instead of riding. A blessed man and I hope he's ok.

No one has mentioned the eating of bun and cheese, the smell of fried fish in the air, along with onions, vinegar and scotch bonnet. Shocked and disappointed I am.

That bike makes me smile. So pretty!

The one year I'm in London on this day and no ride. Tonight, with flask will be my tribute. Hope you are well @JAHtim

Too much food and drink. Bitching about crap on tv. Awareness that many people spend it alone, not always by choice. Emphasis on family, as if that's the only time they get together. I stopped celebrating it years ago, reinforced when my mother died early December. For me it's a few days off work and usually when I head off to Jamaica to argue with an uncle, visit mum's grave, soak up the sun and drinks lots of Red Stripe sorrel beer - delish!

    Roll on next December sob.

I thought about it, then rolled over to the other pillow. Aiming for a similar pic, kind of, tonight 😀

The commuting jacket is a great fit. My stomach isn't too obvious in that. In other news my Uniqlo jeggings is lovely. I now have two in black and will probably buy two more in blue. Still blaming yous lot, but thanks for the tip!

Sizing being weird part 2. New Gore 3/4 cycling leggings in a medium cos weight. OK for legs but lose on the stomach. My problem is most of the extra weight is on my stomach, but I'm not about to buy a whole load of clothes for the size I currently am, so have (finally) started working on reducing it. BUT I LOVE PIZZAS, BISCUITS AND ALCOHOL...... Divorce papers served.
