  • ^ Took the girlfriend nearly 45mins to get the bus from Lauriston Rd to Shoreditch High St this morning. She's not able to cycle at the mo due to knee surgery coming up, vexed at how bad traffic was

  • 27s in, cunts who try to over(under)take when you're slowing to negotiate a bus that might pull out unexpectedly boil my fucking piss. you're not an expert at filtering mate, you're a cunt, a massive fucking cunt.

  • You chose to become a model...

I was born one. 6'3" tanned etc...

  • Traffic in the City was a bit like that ^^^ Hackney Road video but once on the back roads from Brick Lane through Columbia Rd, Victoria Park and the Olympic Park the streets were virtually traffic and cyclist free all the way to Leyton, plus a lovely strong tail wind on the way home.

It was nice to see an old green Routemaster bus when I got to the top of Leyton High Road.

Wish I could do this more often.

  • I used my 'derny' bike for a laugh...didn't notice much difference.

  • It was nice to see an old green **Routemaster **bus when I got to the top of Leyton High Road.

Are you sure it wan't a Regent?

  • Bus appreciation thread >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • I enjoyed today felt more like home (india)

  • esp hyde park corner roundabout

  • Tavistock cycle track was packed, I thought it was excellent, viva la bicycle.

  • Wouldn't mind moar strikes...
Had one of the best rides from Hackney to center in the morning!

  • This^, a bit. I had to drive a car this afternoon, 120 miles, carrying two children. I've never seen the A3 northbound or the Wandsworth one-way system so clear at 6.30pm. Who did this, and can they do it again?

  • Ride in was alright to work had tail wind and tail wind back home, but the traffic from Paddington to Blackwall tunnel was an absolute nightmare, and I do have to question some people's driving in London tonight, nearly got run over by a ford KA on old street, which I shouted 'YOU MASSIVE DICKHEAD' (sorry if people heard) and too many cars and cyclist running red lights! Might actually pick another route back home or just leave the office much much later!

  • Some epic ass-hattery observed on my east-west slog this evening. LMO8 YHR and his brethren will forever have a special place in my heart.

  • Didn't seem any different at 5.30 this morning. However, King's Cross and all Holborn at 8.30 this evening was something else. I've never seen such inconsiderate driving. It was as if stop lines and lanes meant nothing. Almost tempting not to cycle tomorrow. If HoKe sets the tone, my shout of "feckless moron" to a van driver overtaking with mm to spare (before I promptly overtook him for good at a red light a matter of seconds later) probably didn't bother him too much.

  • Yeah, all bets were off this evening- cars were driving straight through red lights and in some cases driving down the pavement (!) just past Lambeth Bridge.

    Chaos.

I also saw a woman drag her child straight out into traffic without looking up, let alone left or right- I seriously thought she was going to get her son killed due to her own selfishness.

  • Bet it's not soo much fun tomorrow, when the novelty wears off. Hope it stays cool an fluffy.

  • I had a very nice ride in. The two building sites that usually cause an inconvenience were fine because their deliveries had not arrived, and apart from newbie cyclists sitting in the right of the cycle box to turn left and causing a bit of a kerfuffle it was uneventful. On the way home it was fine too.

I don't know why all those Hackney Rd cyclists don't take Old Bethnal Green & Columbia Roads and avoid the whole lot.

  • It's faster. I started on the canal, then OBG road, then Bishops Way and Hackney Road. I learned in London it's safer to keep up with traffic.

this is every day. not the pavement bit, but RLJ from cars is not even noteworthy :(

    You are traffic. :)

  • I don't usually take the tube. But when I do they go on strike... and then they promise the metropolitan line will sill be running when I get back. But it isn't. 25 minute bike journey took 2 hours via foot and what's left of TFL.

  • I dont always cut my commute in by a 2/3rds but when I do I decide to get a fucking train from Wandsworth Town packed full of cunts who wont move down the carriage to let me on.
Cunts! Still, I'll never have to use the tube so swings and roundabouts really

You can't be stopping at all the traffic lights then :-)

  • it was absolutely mental last night.
had to shout at some dude for coasting right up on my inside nearly rubbing shoulders with me whilst slowing down for a stopping bus.
it was like one of those sky rides where people are everywhere and no one has a clue what they're doing.
nobody was respecting the hierarchy either!
