Almost no cars on the road today from Bow through to Camden. Perhaps people thought better of driving to work? A few dickhead cyclists though. Almost got t-boned by one who wizzed through London Fields over onto Broadway Market as I had stopped for a pedestrian crossing.

On the way home last night I crashed straight into a 'jogger; who sprinted out in front of me by St James Palace.
She had no regard whatsoever for her own safety, nor did she seem to have any appreciation of her surroundings. Dressed all in black wearing headphones (lol) >>>> straight out into my path. When she picked herself off the floor she started abusing me LOL I was aghast. It proved impossible for me not to tell her to jog on. Oh dear.
Two minutes later, bam straight into another group of peds. It seems that people are unaccustomed to getting themselves around london on foot without endangering their lives or others. A complete fucking nightmare. This morning, the same twats in their cars queuing from the top of Hampstead for the 2 hour 5 mile journey no doubt. People really are fucking useless

What hierarchy?
if you don't know what the hierarchy is you must be somewhere down the bottom ;-)

loads of people driving their cars to town today, fair enough, it's a free country... where the actual fuck do they think they're going to park once they get here?
-
• #781
On the pavement or in a cycle path I suspect

I don't know why all those Hackney Rd cyclists don't take Old Bethnal Green & Columbia Roads and avoid the whole lot.
Ignore this guy - he's talking rubbish. Columbia Road and OBG are dangerous and full of monsters and sheep sized rats. Avoid at all costs.
This advice might have something to do with me living there.
What hierarchy?
Me > Everyone else. What other hierarchy is there?
I took a Boris bike in to central last night, as it wasn't practical to take my own bike. Jesus wept. The headwind, the driving, the cycling: all an absolute nightmare. All just thank the lord I wasn't going the other way - the chartreuse cloud has grown in size and malignancy since the strike / I stopped commuting

I actually witnessed some car sharing today which did make me smile.
I saw one of the MDs at my work driving a people carrier full of his other MD colleagues which must have been hard for them leaving their porches on their driveways. I suspect he bought the thing just for the strikes.

Everybody was very well behaved in their mostly stationary cars I felt.

I forgot ninja pavecyclists, but as they are are rarely on the actual road they don't count.
Oh and the bloke who undertook me earlier, he goes last

moan moan moan.
get over it. -

What's the issue with undertaking? If you're too slow, get out of the way.

Depends if you've clearly moved right, and signalled, to get round an obstruction. If the undertaker wants to end up doored or speared on an exhaust pipe be my guest

If they're too slow, pass them on the right. If they're slowing for lights or due to an obstruction, don't undertake at speed then scoot along the side of a lorry up the kerb or bounce up onto the pavement, scattering peds everywhere.

Fuck that. If there's a gap, go for it.

I saw a guy last night who looked like an experienced commuter with all the gear and that but he was anything but...EVERY single time the traffic slowed going up Great Eastern Street he'd hope onto the pavement and ride between the peds and people standing by the bus stops. I was waiting for someone to deck him.

Fuck that. If there's a gap, go for it.
Good luck with that, try not to end up 2D.

• #796
nobody was respecting the hierarchy either!
What hierarchy?
Me > Everyone else
On the contrary, nearly every road commuter has been following this hierarchy perfectly for the last 2 or 3 days, if not since the start of time itself.
Every idiot for him/herself etc.

edit: removed video of cyclist nearly getting squashed on junction of golden lane/old street as just saw there's a rider down thread today at the same spot. think it would be in poor taste to leave it up.
