Stuff them with grass, not the stuff you'll be smoking
bought the last pair in house of fraser - black patent hunters - bbbbbbling!
-
• #203
I popped into TK Maxx on the way home to find some waterproof garb and came out with a black straw hat. lol I don't think I'm taking this very seriously.
Funnily enough I clocked that they had Hunters of all styles in there but only in womens sizes/style. 40 quid, normally about 60 aren't they?

mine were 80 - oops
get yourself some proper clothing - or you'll end up buying hideously marked-up crap when you get there! :) Blacks are pretty reasonable and cover all the essentials.
Are you cycling?

Ah yes, forgot to note bling option. I'd already resigned myself to a trip to either Millets or Blacks, all of a sudden I'm running out of time!
Cycling, where exactly? Not to Somerset that's for sure!

I'm just cycling the last 12 miles from Castle Cary station - my gang are going up at 5am tomorrow and I wont be going til Friday. I should be able to get myself some food vouchers for 'being green' or something...

Good effort! I'm rolling in on four wheels so no bonus points for me. I managed to buy a decent waterproof this afternoon, I don't think I need to buy anything else...

First Great Western trains just told me not to bother trying to get my bike on the train tomorrow - so I'm going to have to rely o a shuttle bus to get me to the farm :(
-
• #209
Bummer, I presume the shuttle service is akin to cattle herding? If our vehicle wasn't full I'd suggest jumping on board. What time does your train get into Castle Cary?

Thanks - here now and wasnt too painful!
Was a bit like cattle herding - even had to go through a rotating gate into a pen where I got my band stamped on. -

Poor bastards have got Cold Play to look forward too tomorrow. At least the weather is set to improve
the size is pretty overwhelming. even more daunting when there isn't an inch of dry land to sit on :)
it looks like it's going to be a wet one so be sure to take good tall wellies (you wont wear anything else), as much waterproofing as you can carry, loads of layers as it'll get cold in the wee small hours and a squillion wet wipes.
and have fun!
