  • You're blatantly getting a visit once I work out where the circus is. Don't let me try and breathe fire no matter how convincing the patter. I'm almost certain I can't do it.

Its not hard, but if there will be fire play people aren't allowed near any more.

Pfft, "stand back people, VIP, I've had extensive youtube tutorship..."

I hear the site is already fairly muddy, according to my friend who works there. Don't forget your wellies

Maybe see you lot around...might even be wearing a forum cap.

That sounds ominous. I may have to check the integrity of my form-over-function wellington boots.

Forum cap plan sounds like a smart move, although I don't own one so it will be one way finger pointing from me. I'll don a blue Brooklyn cap just to give everyone else a chance.

  • Pfft, "stand back people, VIP, I've had extensive youtube tutorship..."

Its easy just careful be careful as some paraffin gets drunk and gives you the shits really badly.

  • They just said that the site is overall ok but the areas with high traffic are already cutting up...

  • To a first timer that means nothing. So I need a poncho, yeh?

  • Few of my pals are working there, posting photos on FB of the mudbath it already is. Have fun guize!

  • Remember to take welly socks; I recommend Barbour for a tenner.

  • Don't forget lip balm either. Don't want chapped lips. Get a bigger tub than you need, as it also doubles up as lube.

  • ^^^ Constructive, I like.

  • If you've got a public toilet phobia, pack a small cheap Argos tent and a bucket and make your own private shitter.

  • The best food and smallest queues are usually near Jazz/World stage. If you can suffer the sub-Jools Holland bilge in the background, you're in for a culinary treat.

  • My best advice would be to avoid the Pyramid Stage on Friday night at all costs.

  • Best advice I can give is avoid ALL bands. Just go and get fucked up and lose yourself with some drummers near the stone circle if possible.

  • Do not under any circumstances buy drugs there. Take what you need and don't share them with crusties.

  • The private shitter idea is actually quite genius but no, I have no problems going anywhere when duty calls. Plus it appears I have posh toilets at my disposal on this occasion so it should be quite a pleasant experience...

I've read that many of the pictures that are currently doing the rounds are of the muddy conditions from yesteryear and to disregard them. Mudslides are yet to be publicly enforced.

With regards to smuggling treats in, aren't they well hot on that these days?

  • Only went once and was strictly boozing, but I'd imagine there'll be a lot of moody, low-quality highs for silly prices.

You have to be unlucky. I got caught on the motorway on the way down a few years back and ended with a caution and a delay of a couple of hours. And unless you had silly amounts everyome was being cautioned. That police operation was way bigger than anything I've ever seen on the gates.

  • just head for the cider bus, all calorific value needed for the weekend there in a central location, sleep underneath it.

  • I think I may be going courtesy of the cider bus so I will be well provided for! Well jammy, just been informed that our passes provides us with vip parking (hopefully not on a muddy incline), booze, food and shelter. What could possibly go wrong?.. (Watch this space)

Fun sponges, the lot of them.

true? thats mental, cider baths ftw

  • Well this jolly is on Gaymers, cider bus or not is by the by. I'm rocking the free drink wrist band! I have to accost some well dressed types for some photos on Friday day, no such thing as a free lunch and all that.

  • nah nah nah

the cider bus is scrumpy somerset cider, not youre cidre crap,
its being blitzed out of the mind and sleeping on the floor

  • God, is it really 21 years ago that I went to this? I spent most of my time wondering if something good was happening somewhere else. It wasn't.
