Ive heard alot of people have been fucked over, you should be able to get a duplicate on site although it is fucking massive. Good luck! I just have to write a couple of thousand words before I go tomorrow.
The full saga is laughable. Last weekend I was at Bethnal Green sorting Office collecting something else and they didnt have it. See Tickets insisted that they did, Rang them during the week and no defo not got them. See Tickets insist they have basing this on the tracking website which shows them as there. See Tickets refuse o cancel and insist that I go down again. So I do and lo and behold they are found but they refuse to give it me as I dont have the Special delivery card (that was never left) but ultimately they relent. See Tickets have emailled me today and have cancelled the ticket as the Post Office have admitted that it is lost... So having wasted several hours of my life I now have to queue to get a replacement.

Last one I went to one 1999, I think its the last one it never rained at.......
There wasn't a single cloud in the sky from tues evening till monday last year, it was relentlessly hot.

Was wearing my wellies the other week and remembered they were the ones I bought at the last garage before Glasto for some inflated price, last time I went. Quite some time ago, sad sigh....

A nice comfy 23 hours before i was due to leave ive had the carpets pulled from under me.
Apparently all it takes is the line "sorry we don't have a position for you" weeks after ive had everything confirmed, upto the bar i was working in, my ID tag ready printed and place on the coach.
Trying not to thinking about what i hold on my person, the amount of money id spent and what has to stay secure and held (instead of consumed) until Latitude.

I need to be investing in some new wet weather gear for this one. Where does one find a cag-in-a-bag these days? I've not been to Glasto before and the last festival I went to was Bestival the year before last (which was miraculously dry) so it looks like I'm going to be overwhelmed by the sheer size and dampness of it all.

Meh rain isn't an issue. Did a poncho on year, others years a wet suit (a shortie) and to one event a bikini wig and make up!
It helps to back stage (brag brag ;)) and have a converted bus/motorhome with kitchen, shower, and proper bed.

Weather isn't looking too bad, wellies will be more important than a cag, hopefully it wont be too muddy, standing up for 18hrs a day is pretty tiring.

Sit down for a bit then.
I like the after, what did I see, what did I miss.

That's a pretty good brag to be fair given the situation. I can't complain as I've been invited to go with some cider people on vip passes and they're putting us up in those pod/shack things so at least I'll not have to contend with tent erection. I heard talk of showers, electricity and as much cider as one can possibly drink. Embracing that devilish corporate hand out...
Wellies - check.

As a performer, there are green rooms with nice food and bars that are cheaper than outside. The bars have bands/entertainers too. There are nice propane power shower blocks but the trudge up there is a pain. But clean loos are nice....

As much as it seems 'not in the spirit of things' a little respite amidst a never ending session could be key in bending yourself back into shape. Having said that I have no idea what these passes will entitle us to. Cheaper food sounds like a win though.

You'll be either backstage some where such as circus probably. But not anywhere major but with a performers passes you get to wander in to other backstage areas and bars.

That'll do me just fine. I am in absolutely no position to complain at any point :)
So Lynx, on what premise are you to warrant such a level of clearance?
Nothing to do with Keith the Bastard I hope...

An entertaining read.Life as a performer, all the worlds a stage and all that. I like showing off, being extrovert and left field, and with the ability to juggle and breathe fire it makes life entertaining for kids.

Yeah but met office have drawn two rain drops falling from a white cloud to denote 'light rain'. That's doable even in my book. Plus the met reckon Thursday will be sunny and dry which lessens the chance of it becoming a mud bath. In fact I got a newsflash from the Glasto app on my phone saying not to panic, it may be a little wet but it's not muddy. Yet.

I'm going to come watch you when I'm spangled.

I be lurking with intent somewhere around the circus field. If its rainy I don't have to do anything as it'll damage the costumes.
-
• #174
You're blatantly getting a visit once I work out where the circus is. Don't let me try and breathe fire no matter how convincing the patter. I'm almost certain I can't do it.

I hear the site is already fairly muddy, according to my friend who works there. Don't forget your wellies
Maybe see you lot around...might even be wearing a forum cap.
